Style: American Double / Imperial Stout

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 11.50%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
The Roman Empire had a certain "je ne sais quoi" - festive food culture, extravagant architecture, and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad, and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen - that's still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient - keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant, and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Pours jet black thick tan head that takes forever to recede and once it does you still have about 1/8" and good lacing.
Smell coffee notes dark chocolate slight alcohol smell.
Taste good coffee and chocolate flavor slight vanilla the alcohol is not noticeable at all you get a little taste but not much burn for a 11.5%
Feel is good smooth and thick coats the tongue once it warms you get a little boozy burn on the back end.
Overall a really solid stout I would have again.

Bomber poured into snifter.

Appearance: Pours a deep deep dark black with a coffee head that rapidly dissipates and leaves little to no lacing.

Smell: Coffee and chocolate notes dominate.

Taste: ok, now the name makes sense. Tastes appropriate for its name. Lots of coffee notes as well. Quite delicious.

Mouthfeel: cleaner than Even More Jesus for sure. Lot less sticky than many others in its class.

Overall: I'm quite impressed.

22 oz. Bomber

Poured into a chalice a very nice black color, nice carbonation, with a very quick tan head, which leaves an oil slick. The nose is pretty nice, malty, with lots of chocolate, toffee, and coffee, with some vanilla, slightly roasty. The taste is very nice, malty, lots of dark stuff, nice touch of vanilla. Full body, ABV is hidden pretty well. Overall, this is a very nice brew, would recommend.
