Big thanks goes out to my doppelganger for this one while we cleaned and lubricated machine guns for a shooting session the following day! Served from can into a shaker. Poured a golden yellow with white half finger head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, earth, citrus, citrus hop, earth hop, marijuana, and onion hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, onion hop, earth, earth hop, and subtle citrus. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. I really enjoyed how this one took the earthy aspect of a pale ale to a whole new level with just about every aspect in it being a play on some sort of earthy character. This really kept your palate guessing what to expect next and made it rather enjoyable to consume. While doing all this it was rather refreshing as well with the nice kiss of subtle citrus lingering on the flavor. A really well put together brew that I wouldn't mind having again in the future.

Rerate, 355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger ABV is 5.5%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Sweetish aroma of fruity American hops, notes of oranges and tropical fruits. Slightly sweet flavour, followed by distinct hoppy notes, with oranges, grapefruit and resin. Bitter finish.

All I taste is bitter. I poured this over a couple ice cubes. I have a few more & instead I will let the ale cool down a bit before imbibing. The can doesn't show the IBUs but they feel very high for a pale ale. It's OK as a one- off.

Pours an orange color almost similar to a papaya type of color. I am getting some light fruits like apricot, peaches, nectarines, valencia orange, a little bit of malt as well. It's not too bitter but the bitterness is there. This is a good pale ale but it has the potential to better. This is not up there with your Sierra Nevada or Oskar Blues Pale Ales but it's not bad at all. Cheers! B

In terms of the style, APA, this beer just does not do it for me. Mild citrus, bread, malt, grass, spice and too much sweetness in the aroma and taste. Moderate bitterness, finishes dry, moderate carbonation and light bodied. Overall just misses the mark in too many areas.
