Pitch black color, but no head.
Nice sweet smell.
Tastes ok, but really missing the carbonation. A bit flat. Pleasant, light sweetness, not too much. ABV completely hidden.
Picked this up on discount, that was worth it!

Pours a deep black color with no head head whatsoever. like a black hole, no light escapes Aroma is roasted malt with a slight twinge of bacon smoke.
Rich, toasty flavor with a hint of that bacon smoke in the background - smooth as silk, no alcohol burn at all. I find the mouth feel to be on the thin side and i think it would benefit from a richer, creamier mouthfeel. Overall though, a decent sipper but probably not something I would seek out again. Definitely worth a try though.

Cellared bottle of unknown age poured into a Bell's Brewery snifter
A: Pours basically black with a frothy dark chocolate brown head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little light lacing.
S: Roasty, light char, rich chocolate, fudge, a bit earthy, and some toffee and burnt sugar sweetness.
T: Roasted malt, a little char, chocolate fudge, a hint of coffee, earthy, faint herbal pine, and a little toffee and burnt sugar sweetness.
M: Full body, moderate carbonation, % is very well hidden.
O: I've had this bottle for who knows how long, finally got around to just cracking it. Really solid straight forward imperial stout, holds its weight impressively well.

A thick black pour, if it wasn't for the small dark brown head and a nicely laced glass I might have mistaken it for dirty motor oil. Snot locker gets ash, coffee, vanilla and licorice. Buds get all that but the coffee and licorice are at the forefront. Body is thick'n oily, a really nice sipper. I'm assuming that this is the Spanish version of Even More Jesus, it's as good as the American version and one of the best American imperial stouts I've had.

On tap at Growler Run in Oregon City.
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and lacing. Getting a lot of roasty aroma on the nose, along with some light coffee, licorice and vanilla. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this moderately sweet stout, but with some nice dark chocolate flavor as well. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for the abv., but with a fairly long, roasty dry finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile. I would not have guessed this is a 12% abv. beer.
By today's standards, this is a pretty lackluster effort I think. It's a decent glass of stout, but there's nothing memorable or distinctive about it. This is not a beer I would order again.

11.2oz undated can poured into a Spiegelau stout glass at just above fridge temp 12% ABV. The beer pours dense very dark brown with chocolate tan colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is char, dark chocolate and ethanol. The taste is semisweet ashy, charred malt with a hint of caramel and chocolate. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, ok. Nothing special, but the can was purchased on closeout, so no idea how old.

Brewed at Companyia Cervesera Ltd., Catalunya, Spain. An aged bottle. At least five years old but well cellared. 12% ABV. Poured into a small-stemmed tulip. A faint “psth” of gas when opened this one. A full pour.
This beer held up very well after 5+ years in the cellar/fridge. A pleasant drink. Glad I popped it open when I did. 4.25
A – Pours black, opaque, a bit viscous, with a half-finger dark mocha brown head that dissipated quickly to almost nothing. Shows good alcohol viscosity. Very minor lacing. 4.0
S – Aromas of dark and milk chocolate, roasted malts, no burnt or bitter aromas, but aroma was generally lacking (is this due to the aging?). 4.0
T – Mocha, dark chocolate, roasted to burnt malts, faint sweetness, a little cardboard (which is maybe a result of the zero carbonation. 4.25
MF – Medium heavy bodied with a semi-dry finish. Zero carbonation resulting in no finishing carbonation bite. Smooth and warming. 4.25

12oz bottle
Glugs out pitch-black, a very slight ruby ring of light penetrates the outer edge. But barely. Smells like chocolate cake, a bitter dark chocolate cake. Taste is very rich and decadent: no alcohol in sight, not even in the feel (I can feel it in my liver maybe), just overly sweet choco-lined, hop-tinged malt-bomb. Slick and sweet and slight spice on the tongue.
Supurb big stout. 12% and it drinks like an EdmundFitzgerald

Black, syrupy, virtually no head. Smells a bit soy-like. Smooth mouthfeel, good thickness. Taste is definitely some soy, from the age? Bit of roast, plenty of licorice. Easy to drink, quite enjoyable, but not as crazy or adjuncty as most ET, I guess.

Not "outstanding" in any way. One dimensional, far too bitter. Once again Beer Advocate goes for alcohol, rather than taste, aroma, or flavor. It lacks all of those.
