Black with the thinnest brown head.

Some barrel and malt.

Dried dark fruit is subtle like Bell's expedition. Malts are big and rich just like you like, barrel compliments leather, licorice and dark choclate. Only knock is maybe the slightest meaty off flavor. Otherwise purposeful, delightful, just the right intensity of ABV, wine and dessert.

Dense without marshmallow character.

330ml bottle poured into tulip 13/10/13, Torst exclusive? you can buy bottles in Alberta

A black as night with just a thumbnail of cola at the edge when tilted, the foams about as dark as I've seen and hangs around long enough to leave a couple partial rings followed by some random patches

S smells of sweet chocolate, molasses, dark coffee, sweet red vinous notes, smoke, dark chocolate covered candied cherries, prunes, faint booze but considering its 12%+ I'd say its very well concealed

T you get more port barrel then the nose, the coffee I could smell turned into burnt espresso, very dark chocolate, burnt brown sugar, raisins soaked in something I can't place, charred wood, tastes rich and complex

M silky and very thick, enough bubbles to keep it from feeling flat, just a little oily while its in your mouth and just a little grit after you swallow, not much heat and my lips are stuck together

O great stuff, rich and the port barrel adds a great deal of complexity and works well with such a big thick stout, almost like a shot of port was dumped in my glass its hard to miss the barrels influence

Drinking great today I'm not even sure if I'd want to age one but I suppose I should buy at least one more to throw under the stairs even with its massive price tag.
