Not a bad beer for being as old as it is.

22oz bottle poured into a snifter.

A: Pours a hazy orangish gold with a white head. Not much lacing on the sides. Too opaque to really see any carbonation.

S: Great farmhouse aroma going on here. Brett comes through quite nicely. Hint of the regular witbier aromas like orange and coriander. Also some earthy hops going on.

T: As the bottle describes its a witbier with Brett yeast and the flavor reflects that very well. Dont get the thought that it's sour into your head, much more of a farmhouse saison flavor.

M: Medium body that has a nice creamy mouthfeel to it. Much less carbonation that most

Overall I'm really enjoying this beer. Always been a fan of the Brett strain of yeast and this is no exception. Worth a try if you can find one.

Tap @ Westbrook Appearance: Cloudy yellow/orange with a slight white head

Aroma: Yeast, banana, hint of spices

 Taste: Light fruits, spices

Palate: Good carbonation giving it a lively mouthfeel. Smooth finish with a slightly fruity finish.

Overall: Exceptional. Nicely balanced, very drinkable, and very complex for its abv.

A: The beer is very hazy yellowish orange in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving delicate lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose - grapefruit seems to stand out in particular - along with some hints of funk.
T: The taste has flavors of grapefruit with notes of orange peels: spicy notes of coriander are present in the finish and linger through the aftertaste. There is a light amount of bitterness; little if any sourness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is interesting and tastes like a hybrid between a hoppy pale ale and a witbier. It is quite drinkable.

Poured into a Warsteiner pokal. Pours a hazy light golden amber with a fine one finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of lemon, grapefruit, light bready malt and a hint of citrus hops. Flavor follows with light lemon, grapefruit, light stone fruit in a nice bready malt body. Mild grassy hops and citrus rind in the finish. Great medium to full creamy body, quite a nice texture for a wit. Possibly leans more towards an American pale ale, but keeps enough of the wit character to pass. I could have scored this lower for its deviation from a true wit, but I liked this quite a bit and scored mostly on enjoyment and quality. Inexplicably expensive for one of the Westbrook brewed Evil Twin productions, but glad I tried it.

On tap at Torst

A_Hazy orange hue with a thick off white cap. Beautiful lacing

S_Lemon peel, Clove and a hint of some funk

T_Slightly sweet wheat flavours followed by an array of banana, apple and pear. Finish is nicely bitter with a lingering of barnyard.

M_medium bodied with a stinging up front carbonation. Back end manages to be a little more viscous than I expected.

O_ The Brett adds enough to make it interesting without overpowering the whole affair. You still know you are drinking a well crafted wit.

Appearance - Pours cloudy and straw yellow in color with a white finger's worth of head. Fair retention leads to a broken layer of surface suds. Lacing is spotty with good stick.

Smell - Predominant mild lemon sourness. Slight spice.

Taste - Follows the nose. Mild lemon sourness along with a slight spice bite. Wheat peaks through by mid-taste. Finish is on the bitter side, with orange and lemon pith flavor.

Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair carbonation.

Overall - Not a great wit by any means. Frankly drinks more like a white IPA, which is what they should have marketed it as. Steep price for something this pedestrian.
