American Brett | 6.00% ABV

Evil Twin Brewing

Notes: Rotating availibility. To take up the challenge and make a 100% true Brett IPA with Yuzu fruit can very easily become a fatal attraction for the Brewmaster. Once you get acquainted with the Yuzu fruits irresistible and seductive personality, along with Bretts overpowering, alluring and very charming nature, it will ensnare you and drive you mad obsessing over how exactly you can create the perfect desirable tangy, funky, crisp, tart flavor in ya mouth.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high off white head that died down but never completely faded away, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of orange and tangerine citrus zest are present in the nose along with notes of sourness from the brett.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste starts out with flavors of zested yuzu citrus, which are followed by notes of sourness towards the middle of the taste. A light to moderate amount of hop bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to have a nice balance between the yuzu fruit and brett as you can smell and taste both of them in nearly equal proportions.

Toasted with small notes of sour. More than average fermentation. Overall very good.

Pale gold with two fingers of thick white head, good retention.

Amazing nose on his. Sweet tropical fruits, dry brett, dried pineapple, apricots and so many other fruits.

Dry brett with juicy tropical fruity hops play nicely together. Great stuff.

Medium body, strong carbonation.

Really hitting the spot.

On tap @ Local 44 in Philly

A beautiful combination of brett and tropical yuzu flavor. Super citrusy. A touch of floral. Crisp and extremely crushable. Nice tartness/sourness from the brett but not overwhelming by any means. I enjoyed every sip!!!

Good banana smell, not overpowering. Good taste like an orange that isnt quite juicy enough

On-tap at Cask in London.

Beer is golden with a large white head. Good retention.

Nice fruity smell, which is obviously yuzu. Not much else gets through to my nose, but the yuzu smell is very nice on its own.

I cannot pretend to be sure what yuzu tastes like, but the beer features a prominent fruit flavour that is obviously yuzu. Quite dominant, but nice. A bit of additional citrus flavours as well, and some sight malty backbone. Moderately bitter.

Medium bodied, moderately to highly carbonated.

Overall, quite nice, but a bit one-dimensional in terms of flavour.
