Notes / Commercial Description:
To take up the challenge and make a 100% true Brett IPA with Yuzu fruit can very easily become a fatal attraction for the Brewmaster. Once you get acquainted with the Yuzu fruits irresistible and seductive personality, along with Bretts overpowering, alluring and very charming nature, it will ensnare you and drive you mad obsessing over how exactly you can create the perfect desirable tangy, funky, crisp, tart flavor in ya mouth.

Pours a hazy gold from the bottle with a slight white head of tight bubbles. Just the slightest aroma that's vaguely citrus. The brett is fairly muted. The taste is fairly muted too. You get some of the yuzu and some of the brett, but the interplay between the two really balances. The favors grow as it warms, but the beauty is in its complexity. Medium light mouth as the carbonation gives it a touch of dryness. It's easy going down, and perfect for a hot afternoon.

On tap @ Local 44 in Philly

A beautiful combination of brett and tropical yuzu flavor. Super citrusy. A touch of floral. Crisp and extremely crushable. Nice tartness/sourness from the brett but not overwhelming by any means. I enjoyed every sip!!!

Served in a pint glass at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a golden straw yellow color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Grapefruit, citrus, grassy, a little gunky, psle, toasted, biscuity, and bready malts.

Taste: Awesome yuzu and hop flavor, balancing malt bill, and light tart and light sour notes in the rear too

Mouthfeel: A little tart, sour, medium bodied, chewy, crisp, and medium carbonation.

Overall: Pretty happy with this one. The yuzu fruit balanced with the Brett and malt bill. Definitely grabbing another glass.

Could've sworn I've had this before, but no rating...

Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with buildup of small-bubbled white head. The head draws down to have foamy/fluffy complete surface coverage. Lacing is decent.

Nose is a nice lightly tart citrus, maybe a little more orange-y than grapefruit u - likely aided by the yuzu. However, it has a green aspect behind it-grass, herbal. Pretty much spot on for what I like.

In the taste, I do get more grapefruit bitterness than other sweet or tart citrus. I get less "green", and think the individual notes I perceived I the nose combined a bit in the taste. That is not a bad thing, as this is a nice, quite dry, nicely carbonated, nicely bitter IPA. The citrus is primary, but it's far from juicy.

Nothing fancy, just very solidly good - maybe the yuzu helps, but I'm not sure I would be able to know if it did. Funny, I burped and got a slightly bitter citrus fruit taste that wasnt quite one of the standard options (yuzu? ;).

I usually stay from the Brett but I have wanted to try tis for awhile.Pours into an impy nonic a hazed murky orange with a frothy-like thinner white head atop.Citrus and sour/funky Brettin the nose,it all seems to come together well.Refreshing as all get out, tropical fruits and sourness makes for easy going down, yeah the Brett plays a role but I like it here.I could drink this all day....

Say hello to a giant craggy head that is unmistakably brettanomyces in origin. Beer has a slight haze to it, golden in color and well carbonated. Aromas are a blend of lemon, wheat, a slight floral quality, and a farmy, slightly sweaty kind of funkiness. Citrus peel bitterness expresses more in the flavor than the aroma. Malts are present but get somewhat lost in the yeast phenols. More of a dry, bready malt profile than a caramel sweet flavor. Hop flavors such as apricot and orange are noticeable but toned down. This is an easy drinking beer and the Brett yeast marries well with the IPA signature that evil twin has created. Finishing a bomber by yourself will be no chore at all, in fact because of how highly drinkable this beer is you might be dismayed to see how quickly it goes down.
