Perlenbacher German Imperial Premium Lager 1/2 liter bought at Lidl on Long Island in January, 2020. It costs about $1.85 per 1/2 liter, and has alcohol at 7.9%. This is a good tasting strong lager. It has a decent German pilsner taste, overtaken by an alcohol aftertaste. If a drinkable strong pale lager is your drink, this might be the brew for you. I'd rather have two bottles of 5% pilsner for the time being.

Apperently its vegan, im not a fan of many beers but this German beer has to be my favorite especially warm imo. I'd describe it as a having a full bodied strong even taste, thats not overtly bitter or bold just balanced. I find it has a very crisp taste and not sweet or watery, but has enough flavor to to carry itself. Every one I give it to ends up loving it. I find this to be a good seller in the store that I find it in, & i wish more places carried this brand but at least the store is next to where I work; now im just hoping the store i get it from brings in more from this company, looks like I've gotta find the guy who places the orders to get more kinds.

Poured a slightly hazy medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head.
There smell featured grassy and slightly herbal earthy hops and a light graininess.
The taste likewise featured a light grassy jop spice with a husky pilsner malt.
The mouthful was toward the drier end of the style.
Overall a clean, tasty strong ale.

Poured from 500 ml bottle into tulip glass. A 2" fluffy off white head drops slowly with moderate lacing. Color is hazy gold. Aroma of strong grassy hops and grainy malts. Mouthfeel is medium and viscous with a slowly drying finish. Flavors of cracker, grains, tart citrus, grassy hops. Overall: this is very well balanced and easy drinking for a strong lager.

From the half liter bottle purchased at Lidl, it pours a nice clear golden color with a nice head that very soon diminishes. Grainy scent in the nose. The mouth gets smooth feeling possibly extract tasting brew.
