This hefeweizen poured up with little head. Maybe a finger or so, light lacing.
The smell is tough. I found a hard time defining what I was smelling. Somewhere between straw and citrus. Maybe?
Taste was ok. I am not a huge fan of Hefes but it was drinkable. I picked up on some citrus especially in the finish.
Mouth feel was not too thin, I would call it middle of the road.
Overall I give this about a 3.25. As hefeweizens go it is ok. I can't gig it too bad just because I don't like Hefes. Not sure how it ended up at the house, but since its here I will finish it all.

You'd be hard pressed to get any head pouring this one from a skyscraper. Chuck norris has more lace in his closet than this beer has. Pale gold in color, dried fruit and biscuity aromas. Not bad

This "heffenweis" taste as if they took a crap lager and bottled it with cheap banana candy. I make heffenweis beers and my esters and phenols are created during primary open fermentation, this was contrived as if they literally put cheap banana candy in it. I was so dissapointed with this one, i work hard and craft my beers to be enjoyed by a large community of friends, where does this brewery get off putting this dreck in the market.

On tap at the Whip In in Austin.
The beer pours a golden orange color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of wheat and yeast in it, as well as a little bit of banana. The flavor is similar. All three aspects of a hefeweizen are present - bananas, cloves and wheat. The banana and wheat are the most abundant, but the cloves are also present and add a little bit to the beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours a hazy copper color with an almost non-existant head that immediately recedes and leaves no lacing. Underdeveloped aroma of banana, clove and wheat. Taste follows the nose with sweetness from banana, cloves, and coriander. Orange and yeast is missing. Body is light and carbonation is medium. No aftertastes, and the beer feels watered down.
It's a disappointing hefeweizen. Smell and taste are on the right path but not completely there and the beer is too watered down for the style.

I like this beer as much as Shock Top but less than Paulaner. The banana notes are a very nice touch and its brewed local so I get it a lot during the summer. Seems more filtered than Paulaner. Not as cloudy.

I'm a fan of Hefs. This is decent beer.
While it wasn't great it also wasn't bad. I wouldn't turn one down, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to order it again either. The mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side, but the carbonation level was very pleasant. I think the thing that kept this beer from stepping up to the next level for me was that the citrus notes usually present in this style of beer, seemed to land a little more on the sour side than most Hefeweizens.

Light wheat beer. Not as cloudy as other wheat beers and not much head. Taste is okay. Strong citrus, light hops, and crisp finish. It seems a little out of balance, but it's still fairly enjoyable.
