Great swigging . Light flavor. I could drink all summer.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass.

A - Hazy yellow/gold, just under a finger of quickly dissipating white head.

S - The first thing I smell is metallic, with an underlying sweet smell of rice. Interesting aroma.

T - I was hoping it wouldn't taste like it smelled. The rice flavor is definitely there, but it has a metallic quality to it. This almost tastes like an adjunct lager, not a blonde ale. It gets a little better as it warms.

M - Light bodied, high carbonation. It's definitely crisp and refreshing.

O - I guess this is a good summer beer, but the metallic rice was an off putting flavor for me. I can't argue that it's not refreshing, though.

This one pours a cloudy golden blonde with a decent think white head that settles at a moderate rate leaving no lacing behind.

The nose is a sweet malt that has hints of citrus, coriander and pine.

The taste is decent and malty with fruity notes that give way to a mildly hopped beer that is quite satisfying an flavorful but will not satisfy a serious hop head. This is a more traditional ale that is actually quite good.

The mouthfeel is decent as well but is not great. Just good.

Overall the beer is very drinkable and not too heavy. This is a beer I would to to go to more on hot days when a lighter yet tasty beer is better suited to our hot and humid climate.

I feel like this rates better in my book than most the previous reviews, but I am biased because I really like wheat ales in general. Definitely not the best wheat beer I've had but I would buy it again. Fairly sweet, so not for you if that's a problem. As others mentioned, the biggest issue is it is overly carbonated. A decent attempt at redeeming rice in beer... could stand for a touch more citrusy hopes.
