I shopped at this store on 05/18/2016. I Wanted to hit a different store in the area since I don't get down that way often from my home which is nearly 2 hours north of Edmond. 2nd Street Wine Co. is very easily accessed from I-35 - just a couple miles. First of all, I want to commend this store on it's service which is top notch. I regret not getting his name, but the manager (pretty sure he was, anyway - nice dude with a full beard and glasses) is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys I've ever met in all the stores I've ever been to. He is obviously passionate when it comes to beer, but based on other customers' questions, he knows wine quite well too. I was pleasantly greeted at the door as were all the other customers who entered. I'm a slow browser/shopper and he gave me his full attention the whole time as we talked beer and music. He plays bass guitar and actually played with the infamous Watermelon Slim for a stint. He checked dates for me and made good recommendations for breweries I had yet to encounter. The store is very clean and laid out well. It is mostly dedicated to wine as the name indicates, so as in most okie liquor stores the beer has it's little corner at the back of the store. Even though the quantity of bottle/cans on the shelves is smaller than my favorite go-to stops, this is no lightweight inventory. They have been very picky about what they bring in. The result is quality brews. 2nd Street Wine Co. has very little of what I call "shelf filler" beer - you know what I mean. They had plenty of singles to choose from as well. I saw no dust laden bottles at all. All the Oklahoma breweries are represented well in their own section which is really nice. Pricing is a little higher than most places I frequent, but I felt good about my purchase and that's the most important thing to me. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

Hit this place up yesterday on my way back to the home of Troy Aikman, Henryetta, Oklahoma.

From the outside, it looked pretty inviting, but the worker stopped me right at the door and had me put my three year old in the car with my wife, because of state law. Afterwards I walked in and the place was well kept, and the interior was warm and inviting, with the beer in the back left of the corner of the store.

There was an ample amount of good brew on hand, and was put in place by region. I chose to get some local offerings by stuff made in Edmond and Tulsa.

The guy behind the counter was good, but I didn't enlist his help much, except for which OK beers were worth a try. I didn't pay much attention to the prices, since I was in a hurry with an angry wife and screaming kids waiting out in the car for me.

The proprietor of this shop is a BA member and is very helpful in providing information on what is available and what COULD be available with a more proactive approach from Oklahoma beer brokers.

The store has a very good selection of single American 12 oz. beers and the proprietor was willing to "break" several fourpacks of COOP cans and Tallgrass (KS) cans to add to the singles selection.

2nd Street Wine Co. has a good selection of Oklahoma brands, Boulevard Bwg. Co. brands (including the Smokestack Series), and other craft beers available in the area. Though the floorspace for the beer section of the store is a bit cramped, they make good use of it.

Located in the "Target" shopping center on 2nd St., this store is one of several worthy of visiting in the Edmond area, especially if you don't have time to deal with OK City traffic during a visit to the area.
