A: A filtered witbier?? Pale with some green hues, not what I expect from a witbier. Decent white head.

S: Where´s the orange and the coriander?? very bland smell.

T: The same problems of the smell.

What a joke of beer, people from Calavera claim their beer is awesome and attached to a true european style, but the reality is the results are very poor. Even a bohemia weizen is a better beer.

Very acid and astringent beer, uncomfortable to drink I didn´t like it. I think this one in particular had some sort of contamination, looks and smells according to style but taste is defenitely wrong.

Excellent Wit beer. Maybe the issues with other reviews were not fresh. I drank this in Riviera Maya last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I too was a little disappointed by the size of the foam head here; bone white in color with a decent initial jump, but far from dense and sticky. Disappeared quickly leaving a soapy lid. Body is spot-on perfect though; looks like orange juice it's so cloudy and milky. Color is in the golden range, lighter around the edges.

The nose is fairly floral with a slight citric fruit component. Coriander is mild but present, overall wheat character is nice. Could be stronger, but this is a very classic witbier aroma: slightly soapy and thin, but sweet and inviting.

As mentioned by others, this is a refreshing and well carbonated beverage. Mild notes of citric zest are enveloped and massaged away by floral and phenolic yeasts, malted wheat, and a light spicing. Alcohol is actually noticeable despite being under 5%.

Mouthfeel is light but creamy, very smooth with completely appropriate carbonation.

In my mind, the two previous reviewers do not understand the witbier style and should re-review this beer after they have tried Hoegaarden (which I haven't seen in DF) or Hitachino Nest (which I have). Contra to juankzas, this is definitely unfiltered as stated on the bottle (no one else notices any green hues), and I would say that it is definitely "attached" to a European style. This is a solid - if unspectacular - wit. Roddwolff meanwhile mentions that the beer is milky yellow and cloudy, which immediately should put a "Look" score at 3 for a wit - his scoring of 1.5 demonstrates a clear lack of understanding of the style. Again, I'm not exactly a shill for Calavera, but the problems with this beer's recipe are slight and easily tweaked: the head is too shallow, the nose could be stronger and more complex, and the booze must get hidden. Otherwise, a pretty solid outing.

Poured in a goblet Gouden Carolus; look: Milky yellow, very cloudy, no head, no lacing; smell: floral hops with wheat and fruity notes; taste: wheat, coriander and floral hops; taste: refreshing, very mild bitterness, light body and high carbonation; drinkability: good.

A: Pale yellow slightly hazy with a white and small head which
remains as a layer of cream on the beer. Abundant carbonation
and constant.

S: Aroma with touches of citrus, especially orange, Belgian yeast. The aroma of wheat is light, small touches of astringent. The floral notes are given by coriander

T: Mild flavored, citrus are persistent from start to finish, end
leaves a feeling of having eaten an orange cookie. Refreshing.
At no time bitterness is perceived noticeable touch of coriander from half til the end of the beer
