Look: deep, apricot amber, hazy, rich. White foam, but insubstantial
Smell: have to work hard to get a slight bit of mango and biscuit
Taste: pleasant, honey forward, a bit of burnt caramel, not much hops. Barely an IPA, more like a thick English Bitter.
Feel: a bit more fizz than anticipated given the haze. A little thin on the tongue.
Overall: Easy to drink, fruit and honey but not treacle. Not substantial but nice enough and would be good introduction to someone moving away from lagers.

Pours amber with a thin white head. Some trailing lace sticks.

The smell is of mild floral notes, a hint of cracker.

The taste is of sweet honey-like malt, a touch of caramel, finishing with mild bitter hop touch.

The body is on the lighter end of the spectrum, but not fizzy or watery. It is smooth and has a rather refreshing quality to it.

Not a bad brew. Interesting mix of hops - East Kent Golding, Centennial and Tettnanger. They could have been showcased more, but added enough bitterness to keep it just into IPA land. Rated as a mild "English" IPA, as I assume that that is what they were going for.

The Long Weekend IPA from Big Bay is a decent English style IPA...which is not my favorite style...but this beer was good. I will admit when I bought the bottle I was hoping for something similar to All Day IPA by Founders. Nevertheless, the beer poured a orangish clear with thin white head that is not leaving a lace. The scent and taste were bolstered by bittering hops....thinking East Kent. The mouthfeel is medium in body with subtle carbonation. Overall its decent.

Poured from a bottle into a Perfect Pint.

A=Rich, dark gold color with three finger white colored head that lasted over a minute.

S=At first, nothing...then a sweet smell, with a hint of almonds.

T=Rather complex...first sip reminded me of a standard lager, with some hops...later sips presented a buttery creaminess, some sweetness, and biscuit. Nice balance of malt and hops.

M=A bit too heavy, perhaps, and modest carbonation...bite made it a bit hard to drink quickly.

O=Lower hops profile than most other IPA's and rather drinkable, all things considered. if I had to drink and IPA, this would be considered.
