On tap at the local pub.

Pour is copper in color with 1 finger of thick white foam. Nice lace grips the glass the entire way down.

Smell is hops and citrus very basic for a pale ale. I'm convinced after all these years that having the true "basic qualities" of a pale ale is not a bad thing!!!

Taste follows well from the smell. Hoppy bitterness with citrus notes on the finish. Great fresh, clean, and crisp taste! PDG holds up to its name here!

Overall a good example of the style by. A brewery that's growing in popularity in my area. I'll be buying more of this.

so it turns out that the pretty darn good pale is, well, pretty darn good! imagine that. my first beer from bier, and while its not super creative or attention getting, it is a very tasty pale ale. very light amber hue to this one, a touch of crystal 60 probably gives it that color, and the head is short, white, and lasting. sturdy pale ale from the nose of it, lots of high alpha american hops and just enough rich grain to balance. a honey roasted almond flavor on the front end, quite unique coming from grain, and a cool place for the hops to take off from. cascade or something similar, delicate but resinous, with only moderate bitterness, all in the finish. i like the fuller body on this, it takes a long time to taste it all the way through, and the fullness of it makes that journey worth taking. carbonation is soft but sufficient, and in the end, the grain is as interesting as the hops. not going to shake anything up with this brew, but i love the balance, and would absolutely drink this regularly if it were available here. true to its name.

Poured a very nice mid-copper with great head and great lacing. Nice sweet and malty aroma with nice fruity and floral hop scents, without being very deep. Sweet malty flavor with fruity and pine hop finishes. A bit of hop roughness, but still a nice beer overall. On tap at Tomlinson Tap Room.

grabbed at the brewery a week and a half ago.

poured cold from the growler a crisp, translucent straw gold to a sun king shaped pint with a snow white, finger sized, short lasting head

aroma of citrus-y hops and fresh yeasty bread.

sweet yeasty bread up front, lemon rind and citrus in the way back.

crisp, clean, medium bodied, subtle sweet, no bitter presence.

very enjoyable and refreshing on this super hot working in the yard day.

Picked a growler of this up at the taproom a few days ago.

Appearance: Clear, burnt-orange colour. Good lacing.

Smell: Nice hoppy, citrus smell.

Taste: Very fresh, hoppy flavour, with a bite at the end. Finishes very clean.

Overall, a very well-done Pale Ale.

This is truly a great beer. It poured with an incredibly fluffy white head that became cavernous as I started drinking. Heavy lacing all the way till the last sip. It pours a really nice amber color and smells of wonderful hops. Orange, grapefruit, and a lemon brightness is there as well as some earthier fruits, like melon. It tastes like a wonderful hop and fruit bomb. Lots of citrus and a fruity but clean finish. One of the better APAs I've enjoyed.

This Pale Ale reminds me of most of the hoppy ales you get at your local liquor store. The appearance is a thicker, brown/orange color. The smell is refreshing and hoppy, the taste is good, nothing exceptional but a great hoppy beer. The mouthfeel is smooth, refreshing, and finishes great. If you are looking for a good, hoppy beer this will fill the need.
