Had a growler filled at the Filling Station in Nashville yesterday.Pours into an impy nonic a clear medium golden with a nice looking sticky white one finger head, good clarity to the body and a nice looking sticky head.Nice hop complexity in the nose with a mix of leafy, grassy, and mild pine resin intertwined with a caramel maltiness.Again good hop compleity on the palate with the pine resin a little more assertive but the grassyy and herbal components are stille there, there is a mix of caramel/biscuit and crystal sugar-like sweetness to make it semi balanced. This is a damn fine APA,just great complexity and fresh tasting, top notch here.

Wasn't sure what to expect as I chose this APA by chance on my 21st birthday at the local Casual Pint in Knoxville.

Initially tried to drink straight from the bottle but soon figured out that this wasn't going to work as I was getting basically a mouth full of foam.

Went to pour it into a glass and got about 4 or 5 times the amount of foam as liquid in the glass.

Once the foam had settled it was delicious. It had a beautiful color and seemed to almost have a bit of sediment left in from what I assume were the spices.??

It had a great fruity taste while staying away from the bitterness that I associate with IPAs.
Is this a common thing in the APAs??

All in all I was satisfied with my first try at a 6 pack of craft beer.

This one was a gusher . . . My first ever. Anyway, surprisingly some really good pale ale qualities going on with this beer. I wasn't giving it much a chance. Not sure why that is but I am pretty impressed regardless. Nice looking beer and pleasant aromas. Taste is primarily citrus and piney. Feel is just right with the carbination being spot on. Overall Walkabout is a solid pale ale top to bottom. Kinda reminds me of S.N. pale ale mixed with Celebration ale with a couple months on it. Good beer.

Nice hazy copper colour. HUGE white head that leaves a ton of lace on the glass. Aromas of lemon and some hops
Taste is somewhat appealing. Some fruit and yeast.
Mouth feel is totally carbonation with a lot of bitterness.
I think some of the reviews fail to understand this is an APA in a farm house saisson style. Not a bad job from this brewery!

(Served in a bowtie glass)
A- This beer pours a clear deep orange body with a thin film of white head that fades to a ring pretty quickly. There is a sluggish carbonation of tiny bubbles.

S- The rich apricot jam hops aroma is wonderful but a bit muted and there is some soft papery green hop notes in the finish. Some fruit cocktail hints grow as it opens.

T- The apricot jam hops are dry and wonderful. There is an unripe fruit cocktail flavor to follow with a light toasted graham malt hint popping through. The finish has a nice green pungency that lingers softly after each sip.

M- The medium-light mouthfeel has a gentle fizz finish that compliments the hop pungency.

O- This has a great aroma and a great flavor of that classic Galaxy hop. It is just a bit too soft and leaves me wanting more. As it warms, it does get a bit to dry in the finish that takes away from the nice malt character. Just turn it up a bit and this would be a rock star beer.

Pours a fairly clear golden-amber. Average head of off-white suds. Attractive tree-line lacing.

Nose is immediately recognizable -- aromatic Aussie hops with a spiky, sharp, and floral earthiness. Superb.

Taste is also wonderfully brisk and sharp, with notes of bitter grapefruit and earth again. A superlative pale ale that could easily be classified as an IPA, I'd easily pick this up again!

A: Pretty nice light copper color with lots of bubbles going up.

S: Literally the best smelling beer I have ever put my nose to! Wonderful fruits and florals, passion fruit. Just amazing how good this beer smells. It should be an air freshener!

T: Again, fruity, with some bitterness and a little hop.

M: Zippy carb with a medium body and easy finish,

O: If you get a chance to try this I guarantee you will smell this for a good while. DEFINITELY give this one a try.

Big thanks goes out to aasher for sharing this one during the One Year Anniversary of My Wreck Tasting! Served from growler into a Crooked Stave ‘Crooked Line’ tulip. Poured yellow-orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, pine, pine hop, and earth. The flavor was of sweet malt, pine, pine hop, and onion hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. The aroma on this one really made it stand out for me this night. It was really well balanced, intense, and pleasant. The pine aspect going on here mixed in perfectly with the citrus portion. The flavor while it was quite nice was just not up to the level of the aroma. Would definitely suggest trying this one for any person out there that is curious or gets the chance. Highly recommended.

12 oz. bottle into an IPA glass

A - Moderate pour produces a head that is 1 finger in height and is a heavy froth in appearance. The head dissipates very slowly. The beer itself is hazy, possibly chill haze, with moderate carbonation visible in the form of small bubbles rising quickly toward the surface. The color of the beer is a light copper. 4/5

S - Definitely a hop forward beer. Notes of grapefruit pulp, lemon fruit, and orange really come to the forefront along with pine resin. Fresh white bread acts as an undertone along with a light caramelized sugar. 4/5

T - Unmalted barley and an earthy nuttiness come out along with citrus peel right off the bat. The barley acts as an undertone but the nuttiness (almost like peanut husks) really comes out, surprisingly. Pine resin comes to bat with the disappearance of the caramel which is rather quickly, and dances alongside the grapefruit throughout the remainder of the profile. There is a bit of tangerine, mango, and papaya that comes out as well which is a nice fruity combo addition. Hop bitterness lingers significantly. 4/5

M - Medium bodied in stature with a decent carbonation burn which lasts for quite some time. Moderately drying with a dryness that lingers for quite some time after swallowing. 4/5

O - Very hop forward beer that focus primarily on citrus and pine. Combination of hop flavors is well played and works well as a unit. Very little in the way of sweetness. Light drinking but not necessarily sessionable for my palate. 4/5
