Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
A small wonder to behold, with all the hop flavors and aromas and coming in at only 6.0% abv. Some people would call it a session IPA but they would be wrong because that makes no sense. It's a low alcohol double IPA or maybe a imperial table beer or an American Light Lager that uses ale yeast and 10 times the hops as normal

Golden hued beer with good clarity. There's a half inch of tightly packed eggshell white on top. Brussels lacing. The nose is a good blend of tropical hops with notes of pineapple and mango and light malt. The flavor is initially tropical hops on the front of the palate. Pineapple and mango are the main notes and then a somewhat subdued hop bitterness along with a sourdough bread note in the mix. The mouth is fairly smooth and dry.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops, orange, grapefruit and lemon citrus and a hint of tropical fruit. Flavor is neutral malt, citrus hops, mixed citrus juice, grapefruit rind. Finishes with citrus rind and some piney bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Although hopped fully for an IPA, the malt body is more reminiscent of a pale ale albeit a very hoppy one. Flavor is not too complex, but has good mixed citrus notes with hints of other fruit and pine. This can states 6.0% and this drinks like a more than session level of ABV. I'm glad they boosted this a bit, this could have been unbalanced at a low ABV with the robust hopping. A good solid drinking IPA.

Nice drinkable APA. Hop profile up front is really present but finishes clean. Just the way I like it.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on October 18, 2017. Made for the St. Louligans, the official fan club of the St. Louis Football Club. Decent.

Having been to a lot of St Louis FC soccer games, I love the name and logo. The beer is a milky white yellow with a slim foam. The aroma is juicy with tropical fruit and citrus scented hops. The taste is a bit dry, with plenty of hop flavor and moderate bitterness.
