Pours amber with an impressive, tight, creamy, thick head. Slightly bready and earthy in the nose with fruity esters. Crisp carbonation upfront. Malty base with toasty undertones. Lemony, citric bite. Fruity, minty, dank, gritty, with notes of tea and tobacco too. Oily towards the end. Finishes ashy, chalky, tannic, and dry.

An IPA that wants to be a DIPA. Could use a bit of cleaning up. There's a lot going on, and it's not all working together. Despite this, a good offering nonetheless.

Poured from a bottle into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours an amber color with two fingers of head that laces the glass the whole way down. Very earthy smell with a citrus undertone. The bitterness from the hops is the first thing to hit you as the floral and citrus flavors come after. I do see why a few people have said it is an IPA trying to be Imperial. Overall a very good beer. One I would buy again and again.

Hazy amber to light brown in color with a fingernail of off white foam on top. Impenetrable to light. Aroma of piney hops is pleasant. The taste is very pungent and bitter piney hops with a nice light malt backbone to follow it up with. The mouth is pleasant and crisply refreshing.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep orange body. Medium white head. Nice lacing. Good retention and a wispy surface.

Smell -Citrus and toasty malt. Doesn't smell sweet though.

Taste - Bright grapefruit. Toasty and bready malts. Very mild bitterness and a lightly floral finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Well carbonated.

Overall - I guess you'd call this balanced. I'd like a more dominant hop flavor, though.
