Putz, after taking a Backer and Wäls is cowardice review... It was more in order to increase my alcoholic content, but the corn-metallic taste is apparent. Here in the Central North Mine is the sold with Skol, but I see no difference with Crystal, or Itaipava Lokal (the latter seems to have more hops, or artificial aroma of hops, whatever), then the cost-effective when compared sucks; why pay R$ 5.00 in a bottle of Brahma or Skol is a Lokal or Crystal priced at R$ 2.00 (at the bar)? Or worse, Heineken for R$ 4.99, it's not even compare. I will continue being boring and not take Brahma / Skol was only to increase my (useless) evaluations.

If you're reading this, and own a beer/liquor store, please rotate your stock. My bottle poured with what looked like giant sea monkeys floating in it. Big clumps of yeasty sediment floating within a golden sea. Very unappetizing. The thing is, I was checking the bottle in the store, to make sure it was clear and looked good. Somewhere between the store and my house, it magically spawned aquatic plant life. I hate wasting money like this. Old and unappealing. I had to try a sip just to make sure it wasn't still ok, and it sure as hell wasn't. Sour, old, and unappetizing.

Poured practically no head and left no traces. It has a pale yellow collor.
Very faint aroma, unless warm when it gets unpleasant. Good carbonation.
Very light bodied. Sweetness coming from rice and corn. Sweeter than other Braziliand adjunct lagers and less bitter. Made for mass production. In my opinion the worst adjunct lager among the comercial scale production in Brazil, given more intense flaws than its peers.
Interesting that the real chopp version (not just its name), seems to taste a little better, specially the Dark version, which is sweet but pleasant. Better to have it very fresh and at a very low temperature to numb your senses and enjoy a potential refreshing feeling.

since Brahma, Skol, and Antarctica are now all made by the same company (inbev), they all taste quite similar nowadays. Nothing special here. It's better than Kaiser, really really similar to Skol, and a little worse than Antarctica.

Looks like a macro lager, smells like one, and tastes like one (meaning it doesn't have much taste to speak of). Drinkable, if you're hot, sweaty, and thirsty at the beach, and there's not water around.

Appearance: Pure white head that disappears immediately.Clear light golden body.

Smell: Smells like a wet glass

Taste: Thin and grainy yet sharp pungent flavor, something is off.
No aftertaste to speak of. Really light flavor. No hopiness.

Mouthfeel: Alkaseltzer-like.

Drinkability: Made to be refreshing on super hot days for people who do not like beer.

Twice reviewed consistent results.

I tried this against Antarctica Original and thought this was less clean it has a slightly funky taste and aftertaste. Still very similar and a typical light bodied adjunct lager. Clear light yellow pour with very little head, taste has milled corn and fermented grains and adjuncts, slightly metallic aftertaste. Feel is extremely light and a little fizzy. I prefer the Antarctica Original in terms of Brazilian AALs.

330ml bottle served in a chalice.

A: Pours a pale golden yellow color forming a medium bubbled aired white head. Low retention. A small layer remains and some lacings are formed

S: Smell is imperceptive. I would say some sweet grains. Still looking for the hops... Corn is a killer in the nose, becoming worst as it warms

T: Imperceptive too. Very watery. Some notes of sweet grains and corn. Disgusting taste of cardboard. A bit metallic. In overall, a crisp and bready taste. Very mild bitter aftertaste

M: VERY light watery body and strong artificial carbonation. Light corn in the aftertaste

O: Low drinkability. Difficult to finish. Once in Brazil, go for the new small breweries like a Eisenbahn, Baden Baden, Colorado and etc. You will find better beers there, for sure...

My girlfriend brought me a few Brazilian made beers back from her trip to Sao Paulo. I really appreciated her gesture but this beer was anything but good. Little to no malt character at all. Slight bitterness but over all it was like drinking straw colored water. Needless to say it was very drinkable but in a "i wanna get wasted" kinda way.

My Brother-in-Law brought this back from Brazil*. He told me it cost approximately 39 cents a can and it tasted like it. Gold with a large head that never went away. I smelled faint wheat tones maybe a small lemon or fruit. Taste was clean with no malt or hops to mention. It reminded me a of a Bud Light. Can't complain too much though.

*Off topic: what a nice job, flying planes from a manufacturer in Brazil to St. Martin to Cleveland.

355ml can brought back by Dad from his South American excursion.

The pour is like any other adjunct lager, with a really thick head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is malty and corny, but not terribly offensive. Colour is really pale yellow; unfortunately there's not a whole lot going on so far.

The taste, given my expectations, is actually decent. Bit of a sour taste, although that might certainly be due to the beer's extended period in the can. However, the finish is pretty decent, and there isn't the nasty after taste that you'd get from something like Coors Light. Mouthfeel is boring, it's just a fizzy water feel.

It's nothing that I'd rush out to buy a six pack of, but I got a bunch of these Latino beers for free so I ought to give them their due. Besides, this one isn't even available in my Province. On a hot Brazilian day, I can see how this would be a popular choice. For everyday sipping though, there's better stuff out there.

Here in Brazil 99% of beer production is made of mass production pilsners. This is no exception. Almost no head, gold in colour, taste and smell are flat. Kept trying to taste cereal, hops and nothing really showed up. Mouthfeel keeps you w/ a hint of iron/rust. You should avoid. Nothing to see here...
