A- pours an amber color with a small fizzy white head, decent retention

S- grainy malty mash with some sweet caramel notes, barnyard, grainy and earthy

T- flavor pretty much follows aroma, grainy and earthy was flavors of dried hay, there's some light hop bitterness on the finish

M- medium body with low carbonation, slick mouthfeel and finish

O- not exactly what I would expect from a pale ale, very raw and grainy

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room. Poured into a pint glass.

A: Pours a clear copper with a one-finger white head and good lacing.

S: Tropical fruit, citrus, and pine hops with a lighter malt aroma in the background.

T: Tropical fruit & citrus pith hops, biscuit malt. Finish seems to be mango & grapefruit bitterness.

M: Heavier mouthfeel for an APA, but what I would consider medium for an IPA. Good amount of carbonation on tongue. Minimal alcohol presence.

O: I thought this was a pretty good beer. Not necessarily one I'd actively seek out again but definitely serviceable. My biggest complaint was that it seemed overly hopped to be categorized as an APA.

I received this can from a BIF, and I am excited to try something new from this Florida brewery.

I poured the can into my over-sized tulip glass, and initially I had about three fingers of foam. This foam died down to a very thin scum over the moderately dark orange beer.

Off the top I get mild citrus with minimal malt presence. Seems appropriate for a pale ale.

The flavor is mild and clean. I get more of the citrus hopping, and something else there. It is almost like a little bit of tangerine or sweet orange. It mellows this beer well.

This is a very drinkable beer. Nothing there is so unbelievably challenging. Just a good example of an easy drinking pale.

Served from 12oz can

A — Pours a deep bright amber color, with some reddish hues around the edges. Off-white colored head on it, leaves behind some spotty lacing.

S — Smells of rich malt, little bit of sweetness and a bit of a dry hop presence.

T — Pretty one dimensional, notes of sweet malts and lightly bitter hop notes.

M — Light-Medium bodied, easy drinker, refreshing enough.

O — A nice enough beer, just not a whole lot going on, which is OK i suppose.

Served in a standard pint at the Green Turtle in Fernandina Beach, the beer is bronze with clingy beige head.

It has an aroma of cascades and caramel malts. Reminds me of a Point cascade and that's not a bad thing.

The taste is in lock step with the smell, piney hops, some caramel malts for balance a bit grainy late. You have seen this before and they execute it in spades.

The mouth is spot on with mid-level carbonation and a bit of mouth coating oiliness.

I know APAs don't excite that many people, but this one is well executed!

Amber and sweet with a decent hop flavor but a bit heavy for the style. Unusual for a pale and just an "OK" brew.
