Ok had this beer next. Its funny side by side with the tripel I bet in the same glass you think it was same beer, but filtered.

5 bucks in a 14oz sniffer.

A: Yellow to orange body. 1/4" head as served. No lacing. Temp was 45F. I let it warm some.

S: First you get is HOPS. That was as described. No fruit detected, though you think it was the tripel with more hops, dry hopped at the end. As it warmed some bread came out, very little belgain yeast, it was there but very subtle.

T: When your NOT hop head, and you drink a bread balanced to that side you notice it. Folks that drink IPA has there taste buds burned out. Anyway its hoppy, bread malt is there after a few sips. Some hits of spice, that the tripel could use. A nice bitter, but slightly flat after taste. I liked it. Nothing great, just another pale ale.

M: medium body, light carbonation, hoppy, and dry.

O: I would not call it 1 dimensional, but its bland pale ale with a dry hop finish. Its not a bad beer and its refreshing. The malt is there for a PA, the hops are there. I just do not get really any Belgium yeast out of it. Nor did we detect the cloves and other spices some are saying are there.

I would go to Belgium and learn, he never win any comps with this beer, lucky the rest of the local beer in town is worse. well Eric has flashes at times. To be fair.

A: SIngle finger head on a hazy pale golden body. Excellent lacing.

S: very fruity and a touch musty with banana and citrus notes. Breads and clove.

T: Bready malts. Fruity and spicy with herbal and cinnamon notes.

M: light to medium body and moderate to high carbonation. Semi dry finish.

Overall: highly drinkable and very flavorful. Not sure about the 'hoppy' part of the name but regardless a nice beer.

A - poured with one finger of off white foam on a hazy, golden body., the head settles quick and leaves nice lace.

S - clove and bready malt with a hint of spicy hops.

T - bready malt up front, with some clove and cinnamon. More of the same in the middle with spicy hops and mute clove in the middle.

M - medium thick body, moderate carbonation, and a sweet finish.

D - its too sweet and too much clove, but the malt and hop character are nice. like some other belgians from this brewery the yeast character is kind of one dimensional, but it is reasonably drinkable.
