look: 3.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Appearance - Pours dark brown with nice tan head that dissipates pretty quickly. Strings of lacing around the glass.

Aroma - Lots of toasted coconut and milk chocolate along with roasted malts. There is also a hint of coffee.

Taste - There is not as much coconut in the taste as was in the nose. Mostly roasted malts and chocolate, again there seems to be some coffee there as well. I was hoping for more coconut.

Feel - Medium bodied carbonation is a touch high tingles the tongue. smooth and rich.

Overall - A pretty good coconut porter nice flavors easy drinking only complaint is I would like a little more coconut in the taste.

Look - Black w/ some brown tones. Very thin head
Smell - Not as much coconut as I was hoping for. More roasted notes and chocolate then anything else.
Taste - Again, wasn't overly impressed w/ the coconut flavor...or lack there of I should say. That said, it's still tasty. Tons of chocolate and roasted malts. Some coffee notes as well as slight hints of coconut
Feel - Medium, rich, smooth

Overall - Not a whole lot of coconut flavor in this one. But a really nice tasting porter none-the-less.

12 oz can into a Belgian snifter.

A: Dark brown to black with a brown fringe when held to the light. The decent size head quickly reduces to a tiny ring that leaves almost no lacing.

Aroma: Coffee, dark chocolate, dark roasted malts but no coconut.

Flavor: Dark and black bread, chocolate and faint coffee are soon joined by light coconut. Some sweetness, but mildly bitter overall. Some burnt grain flavor.

M: Medium body with light carbonation.

Overall: a fairly good porter with a light, conservative dose of roasted coconut.

L - Pitch black with coconut flakes floating in the beer. Very cool. Thin white head

S - Chocolate, coffee, and coconut

T - sweet, lots of cocoa and chocolate, and awesome coconut aftertaste.

F - medium rich body

O - yes, this is like a craft candy bar beer. Damn good!

Consumed one from the can directly and poured one from can to snifter style glass.

It's pretty dark, but rightfully so, this is a porter after all. Coconut was faint in the smell, but fairly pronounced on the palate. Could be more coconut forward, but is pretty delicious as is. Mild but present bitterness don't let the coconut overly sweeten the beer. Well balanced as a whole. It was a bit heavy on carbonation for my tastes, but overall was quite enjoyable!

I wanted to like this beer a WHOLE lot. It has all the constituent parts I'm looking for! In the end, however, it didn't quite live up to my expectations...though maybe they were too high to begin with. It's a solid porter, but the coconut wasn't as pronounced as I'd had hoped. Still, for the money, it's a very good beer.

Drank this out of a can poured into a pint glass. Light head dissipated quickly. Low carbonation. Dark but a little cloudy looking where the light shines through on the edges. Faint smell of coconut. Tasted like a decent porter with a hint of coconut. It has nice feel that leans toward the lighter side. Nice beer but I wish the coconut was a bit more pronounced.

Update 7/15/16 - Tried this again. This is way better than the original version I had. This thing is thick and creamy and full of coconut with a nice bitter finish. My ratings have been adjusted.
