Looks like an IPA is supposed to look. Hazy light golden with great lacing and nice bits of stuff left over. Smells like walking in the pines while you carry a bag of oranges and tangerines on your back. Other than a little rough feel from a tab bit more carbonation than is needed, this is a great beer you should add to your buy again list.

Pours a hazed gold with a thumb of eggshell colored head. Fantastic lacing & head retention

S: Breadyness, citrus

T: Follows the nose, much dryness, orange peel up front. More dryness, a little orange & grapefruit once warm, Finishes with grapefruit, dryness, a little lime & tangerine, plus dryness

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, good balance

Pretty tasty IPA, way to go Morganton, NC!

Very attractive beer, hazy gold with a very nice off white creamy head that leaves behind a confident bit of lacing. Bright, bitter and earthy nose is exactly what I think of when I enjoy an "NC" IPA. There's enough malt to give depth to the vibrancy of the bitter. Taste carries the same malt signature that the nose suggests as the nature of the bitterness comes across as earthy green olive and pine notes. Just prior to the end of the tasting experience, I'm getting a bit of honey. Finishes slightly dry and pretty light actually. I'd bet that on draught, this is even more satisfying.

Pours a hazy murky golden orange blend with lots of small sediment particles floating around. Nice two finger off white head that leaves gobs of lace.

Aroma is fruity and hoppy with touches of pine bitterness. Tropical in nature tangerine, pink lemonade, mango and pineapple but all with a underlying pine notes which make it little better then most fruity IPA's I have had lately.

Taste is like the nose nice fruity juicy IPA flavors but with the nice pine needle bitterness that a lot of these fruity IPA's are lacking. Not sure if this is a hybrid east coast meats west coast but for me has the best of both worlds. I will have to be buying more of this.

Mouthfeel is medium with medium level of carbonation pretty much normal and perfect for this beer.

Overall with everyone doing a Fruity IPA I was kind of sad when I found out what this was but pleasantly surprised to find it kind of a best of both worlds.

Pours a hazy deep gold swarming with dust-like particulates. The pour produces a huge, billowy, soap bubble frothy, lasting, off-white head that recedes to a lumpy, mound-like surface cap leaving sticky Jack Frost lace on the sides of the glass. A nice looking beer except for the heavy particulates. My reason for rating it a 3.75. Aroma is a tangerine/orange prominent blend of grapefruit, tropical fruit & pine/floral hoppiness backed by, but far from balanced with a note of caramel malt. Taste is orange/tangerine juice, pine, thin grapefruit & tropical fruit hints, backed up by caramel & honey. Finishes bittersweet with notes of caramel, orange/tangerine & pine that rapidly transition to a pleasantly bitter, astringent aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, slightly wet & tongue embracing, smooth, with a drawing & drying aftertaste.

What a good beer! I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Piney, juicy, citrusy taste all blends together really well. This just became one of my favorite beers! The artwork is fun to look at too.

Poured from a 12oz can. Stamped marking on can bottom is '228-17 BEAST MODE'. Could not find how to decipher stamping, but best guess is August 22, 2017.
Golden yellow body, a little hazy, three finger white head settles to thick cap, and good lacing.
Balanced aroma of tropical fruit, pine, and citrus.
Bitter hop taste with pine, citrus, and juicy tropical fruit.
Somewhat sticky and coating mouthfeel.
Easy drinking, better than average bitter IPA. IPU is 60.
