22 oz. bottle from LIfesource Natural Grocer in Salem OR $4.99 Pours a hazy yellow coloured beer with a nice steady thick pure white head, Aroma of the sea and flowers..some slight clove and ginger. Salty slightly but well balanced by the fruit of the cherries..leaving a pleasing yet mild sourness. Good. Very nice mouthfeel with the salt coming to the fore right at the end..lesding to another sip..rinse and repeat. Very nice hot weather type beer

16oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square. Better deal here than for a bomber in the local bottleshop, which is kind of weird.

This beer appears a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with one rather skinny finger of wispy and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some blotchy paint job lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.

It smells of mildly tart lemon peel, salted white crackers, a muddled earthy spiciness, and some tame leafy, floral, and musty green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, a mild wheatiness, that saltwater that you involuntarily inhale at the beach, a bit of black pepper and clove spiciness, mild estery yeast notes, and more well understated earthy, floral, and herbal hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly benign in its bored-seeming frothiness, the body an adequate middleweight, and generally smooth, as the salt and other spices keep their sass to themselves, for the most part. It finishes trending dry, the salted cracker essence lingering with the most so-called gusto.

Overall - this is a pleasant enough version of the style, with the wheat and spice components playing off of each other in a more or less quaffable manner. Nice and refreshing on a sunny early autumn Sunday afternoon.

Appearance is a slightly hazy golden yellow color that pours with a nice foamy white cap of head to it that has a moderate retention to it that leaves a slight skim on the surface, and some thin spotty lacing.

Fairly faint aroma to it with a mildly sour note to it and a very faint floral hint.

Mildly sour forward, faintly fruity and floral with a aromatic hint of cherry to it.

Light bodied with mildly sweet, wheaty German malt flavor coming in towards the back end.

Faintly salty note on the finish giving a slight note of pickled lemons with maybe a faint hint of rhubarb, slightly higher then average amount of carbonation to it gives it a fairly clean aftertaste with maybe a ghostly aromatic floral note to it that lingers faintly on the palate.

Overall its fairly well balanced & clean with a subtle floral cherry hint to it, however that is also its weakness as it feels fairly, Meh and forgettable.
