This beer is mildly sweet, being considerably more tart, but really packs some heat. The heat builds nicely with repeated consumption. Apricots contribute nicely. .

Should work well with Asian cuisine.

22oz bottle. Question - can you dry-hop with something that is decidedly not a hop?

This beer pours a hazy, milky, pale golden straw colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly bone-white head, which leaves a bit of northern Barents Sea island lace around the glass as it quickly sinks away.

It smells of dried apricots, fleshy chili peppers, a soft grainy wheatiness, faint estery yeast, and little else. The taste is bready wheat malt, a rising green chili spice heat, quite lessened apricot/peach fruity notes, earthy yeast, a flinty stoniness, and a mild standalone smokiness.

The carbonation is quite wispy and somewhat fizzy at times, the body on the far light side of medium weight, and possessive of a smoothness contingent upon the exact amount of oily chili heat one is experiencing at the moment. It finishes off-dry, but barely, as the wheaten malt and languishing orchard fruit seem relatively incompetent in the face of the burgeoning spiciness.

Not a bad brew, given the proposed metrics, but the apricot yin is not up to the challenge of the Scotch Bonnet pepper yang, the lag starting shortly after the initial aroma fades. Whatevs, I can take some heat, and this surely comes across as the real deal, so fuck it, and the well-intentioned apricots - Imma gonna enjoy the rest of this with some of that mountain of Christmas confectionery that, despite my best intentions this year, we somehow still acquired. Oh, and jigsaw puzzles.

Bought this one on an impulse which almost never ends in a good thing, but wait.
From the freshness dated bomber into a standard pint glass results in a hazy yellow body with a small cap of foam, no lacing evident and no bubbles seen rising. mediocher heffe, not bad, just normal.
Aroma is , well a little strange, obviously a wheat beer with slight soapiness and grainy husk but with a slight tart note.
Taste is... well this is unique, starts out as a fairly dull heffe then a slight tartness creeps in, all nothing unusual, then. heat in the back of your mouth and throat. I love Habanero and Scotch bonnet peppers, this beer has captured the heat of those peppers perfectly. unlike Jalapenos or Serranos which have a slowly building level of heat the Chineeses variety of pepper is known for it's intense burn that doesn't linger forever.
Medium bodied with what can only be described as a very warming aftertaste this beer is a good choice for those of us that can handle capsicum.
If you think Tabasco sauce is too hot stay far far away, as for me, I'll have another.

Pours a thin head on a cloudy light straw colored body.
The aroma is odd. Frying oil and vinegar. Not enjoyable.
The taste has a mild grain sweetness throughout with a hot pepper spice kick in the middle to end. Long hot finish.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
The level of heat is perfect.

Had on draft recently. Pours a murky golden color. Good bit of lacing around the glass. Smell didn't do much for me. Nothing stood out at least, especially after what the beer packs in taste. The apricot flavors are apparent immediately and balance out the traditional wheat aspects nicely. I don't love apricots but they're done really well here. The best part of the sip in my opinion comes at the end where you get a really nice warmth from the scotch bonnet. Sweet Heat is very aptly named and overall delicious. I'll be going back for more!

Appearance. Pours a hazy yellow gold with two fingers of white head.

Smell. Apricots, pungent hot peppers and a bit of sweet wheat.

Taste. Those spicy peppers I smelled without much heat, apricots and some wheat.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with medium+ carbontion.

Overall. The flavour of the peppers was a bit strong, but the mild heat was just right. Original for sure. I'd drink it again.

My first beer from them on tap.

- Light pale cloudy wheat, light yellow, great layer of foamy head..

- Smell was bready, biscuit, thin sugary malts, fruity apricot sat lightly underneath, and the peppers aroma sat nicely with the fruity touch.

- Great light touch of peppery heat to a pleasant wheat ale. The fruit road along nicely with the wheat malts. and bready quality.. the peppers are not so hot, but more flavorful which I like.

- Light to medium bodied, sweet, slightly stick, and wets the palate.

- Overall this is a fantastic peppery wheat brew. It's a very nice regular offering, and I can see myself filling a few growlers of this which are only $10 to fill!

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow. An interesting nose of stone fruits, spice and honey. The taste follows suit with a nice dry fruitiness--peaches and apricots--followed by notes of hot peppers and a nice spicy pepper heat on the finish. A very interesting combination that is well-balanced and tasty. It's medium bodied and hearty and would pair well with food.
