A: Golden to brown gradient colouring. Opaque with a lasting 1 finger head.

N: Hops come through immediately with some nutmeg characteristics.

T: Citrusy hop blast right away, but nothing too intense. Finishes much more softly than expected. Lingers with a taste that almost reminds me of a very mild pumpkin ale (Brooklyn Brewery's offering comes to mind...) to a degree., which may be from the oatmeal.

M: Medium bodied, smooth.

O: I dig it. It's not too aggressive and could be a good intro to hoppy beers for the uninitiated. The sweetness on the finish is really pleasant. Will buy again.

Attractive dark orangey amber in the Duvel tulip. A decent head and a spritzy carbonation on the tongue. Mouthfeel is light but smooth and silky. This has a pleasant resiny tang that reminds me a lot of a rye beer. There is a faintly sour grainy flavor that actually adds to the drinkability. Not so hoppy but there is a pleasing bitterish tang.

Overall, an unusual and non-standard style that adds some interest to the Pale Ale world. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Hondo's Brew & Cork in Astoria.

Hazy light amber with a three finger off white head. Good amount of lacing.
Smell is grainy tangy malts. Some floral hops.
Taste is bitter hops with a smooth malty backbone. The oats seem to overwhelm the hops and malt character. Smooth for sure but kind of bashes the hop and malt character.
Mouthfeel is quite full , adequete carbonation and has a medium dry bitter finish.
Overall a pretty fair APA maybe hit a bit too hard by the oatmeal.
Well worth a taste though, might be just what you are looking for!
