Medium brown color. Medium head. Aroma is orange and malty. A medium bodied strong ale. Malts are sweet and nutty with a touch or orange. Hops are very mild, perhaps a bit dry. Touch of orange and vanilla and the other assorted Christmas beer spices, none of which I can every quick exactly figure out. Nice malt flavor. Very smooth taste. No alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Nice winter beer.

pours a brown with a thin white head, and some lacing.
smell of cinnamon, nutmeg, spice, malt, and a little caramel.

On tap at the Coronado Brew Pub.
Poured a dark mahagony color with a small sized off white head. Lighter aromas of chocolates, caramel and malts. Tastes of toffee, caramel, citrus, and spices (more so tha in the aromas). Tastes were softer but not as soft as the aromas.

On tap at O'Brien's Pub 14th Anniversary Barrel-Aged beer night 1/15.
A- Clear ruby-red hue, thin off-white head quickly dissipates, minimal lacing
S- Nose is full of sweet malts and big wintery spices (think gingerbread cookies), clean & crisp earthy hops too
T- Initial taste is dominated by spices and floral (nutmeg, allspice, ginger), tones of vanilla and wood, light fruits, brown sugar, finishes clean and sweet
M- Medium-bodied, thick texture, high carbonation
D- This beer is loaded with spice, great flavor profile, this borders on the desert/potpourri spectrum leaving it good for sipping in small amounts and difficult to drink in larger quantities

Sampled @ Strong Ale Fest San Diego
The beer as it set in my glass pellucid brown or deep mahogany color with a modest sized head that was semi-creamy and light tan in color and the residual lace a fine veil upon the glass. Sweet malt nose, caramel and what seemed to me to be a hit of cinnamon, quite nice, start was rich in malt, quite sweet and the top fair to middling in its feel. Finish was briskly acidic, the hop potent but not overpowering, quite a pleasant winter brew, dry aftertaste and one I sampled twice, just because I liked it.
