Served in a snifter at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.

Appearance: A two finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a copper orange color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Super frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Tangerine, grapefruit, citrus, grassy, and herbal hops followed by caramel, bready, and toasted malts.

Taste: Sameas above. There is a balance between the hops and malt bill. Some chewy and mild bitterness in the rear too.

Mouthfeel: Super smooth, medium to full bodied, mild tingly bitterness, medium carbonation, a little chewy, and some boozy alcohol.

Overall: This year's anniversary beer is as good or even better than the previous year. Looking forward to a few more pints before this keg is gone.

Such a refreshing and well made beer in a new hipster culture of "more juicy fruit in IPA = Better IPA." Refreshing because it's not that beer.

More caramel malt than you'd typically expect from a West Coast DIPA but it works damn well in this brew. Tahoe pine forest and cedar is showcased at the forefront, along with a light caramely grapefruit & caramel Pineapple citrus. Mouthfeel steals the show and is spectacular in this brew. Resinous and true to style, while staying extremely CLEAN, and the most of easy drinking at this ABV. Damn impressive. Killing a few of these bombers after a workout would be no chore at all. Scary thought.

This is an excellent example of a near perfect executed West Coast DIPA that isn't overly focused on grapefruit. Well Freaking done I say!!!

Pours into a small tulip glass a honey color with a very well formed sticky white head atop.Orange peel and sweet alcohol stands out in the nose for me,maybe a bit of soap?No sharp hoppy bitterness or cloying sweetness on the palate, orange and tangerine flavors along with biscuity malts and just a tinge of sugary sweetness in the finish,to me the alcohol is pretty well hidden for the style.Would have like more bitterness and sharpness but I love the fact that the sweetness is kept in check pretty well.

Pours two fingers of head on a hazy straw body.
The aroma is grain, lemon and a muted mango and pineapple.
The taste is a nice blend of bitterness: pine and grapefruit mostly with some pineapple sweetness to cut it.
The texture is crisp.
Enjoyable.

Pours a slightly dull golden yellow with a subtle amber hue and a thin half finger of white foam.

Grapefruit/citrus, grass, pine, earthy, and very subtle biscuity/toast undertones.

Very little toasted malt/sweet biscuit presence, big hop flavor consistent with aroma of orange/grapefruit citrus, pine, and grass.

Medium-bodied, medium carbonation, hop forward bitterness and astringency.

Overall, while rather unbalanced and hop forward, this was certainly not unappealing. Definitely drinkable, but once is enough in my opinion.
