Picked up a single from Happy Valley BevMo 3-18-17 for $2.39. Bottled on 1-4-17 and stored in the beer fridge since purchase.

Beer poured a hazy yeasty golden orange with a nice white head that has some great hang time.

Nose is juice forward with some hints of mango.

Taste is juice forward, somewhat tropical, and a bit piney in the finish.

Mouthfeel is thicker than i would expect for the style. Drinks like a double IPA.

Overall an enjoyable brew that i would have again!

Had a pint at the brewpub today (8-15-17) - the first brew of the day for $6.00. Was a tad disappointed in the flavor profile lacked depth and the finish was too much rind. Changing the taste from 4.25 to 3.75 and overall from 4 to 3.75.

12 oz bottle poured into a pub style pint glass.

Appearance
Murky yeast laden gold. Looks a bit gelatinous. Short head dissipates quickly.

Nose
Orange, grapefruit, plantain, mango, caramel, and butterscotch.

Taste
Caramel and butterscotch maltiness are prominent. Overripe grapefruit and musky mango. Hints of orange citrus and plantain.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, crisp, semi-dry, and lightly bitter.

Overall
Perhaps it's an old bottle but this is completely missing the mark for a NE IPA.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/4/2017. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, wheat, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, wheat, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, wheat, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance; and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Slight dryness from lingering bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a fantastic NE IPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the low bitterness. Amazing bright, juicy, and fairly dank hops; with great malt balance. Never overly sweet or bitter either way. A highly enjoyable offering.

Draft pint at the Yard House in Vegas. Bright opaque yellow-gold with a decent white cap. Nice looking. Tropical fruits on the nose with slight dank and apple. Mouth is heavy but nice. Good balance for me between hops and malt. Others may think too malty. Flavors of your standard IPA but a bit muted. For me this was a delicious find and hope to be back for more.

On tap at BC's Pizza & Beer

A: Pours slightly hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces well.

S: Fruity, melon, tropical and orchard fruits, a little citrus, slightly toasty bready malt, and plenty of caramel sweetness.

T: Big time fruity, mango, melon, a touch of passion fruit, peach, and a hint of berry, citrus, orange and grapefruit, faint dank herbal notes, slightly toasty bready malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: A bit towards the fuller end of medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: If they were aiming for a NE style IPA I think they landed somewhere else. It's not a bad beer, but it feels too heavy and sweet and not much of the haze made it out of the keg. I'm also not much of a fan of melon hop flavors so that also hurt this one for me.

22oz brown bomber, sample from the brewery.

Has all of the usual bells and whistles of this IPA sub-style, wished the sediment would have either stayed in suspension or settled a bit more ... floaties. Smooth, mealy, vegtal, slightly bitter. Just really not my bag, everyone does not need to brew a hazy IPA. Should have canned these in tallboys as well.
