Bottle from Total wine-Henderson. Pale golden, hazy, head fades to ring. Light smoky, earthy aroma. Taste adds some light tropical notes, stone fruit too. Malty, dirty, dank. Way too much going on here, yet really accessible. Dries out towards the finish, with some minor stickiness. Nice!

A: This poured a cloudy light copper with some white head.
S: It smelled like oranges and candied apricots, with some caramel malt.
T: It tasted like it smelled. It had a clean bitter aftertaste with some alcohol warming.
M: It was oily with moderate carbonation. Nice full body.
D: This was a nice brew with clean but basic scent and taste. The body was solid, but the finish was hot, so it was better to sip. Not great but not bad.

Aroma is citrus, malts and big spices. The flavor is citrus, mild tropical fruit, malts, fruit/grapefruit and a mix of slight sweetness and spicy/somewhat tart in the finish.

Look: It pours a golden orange with an off white head. There is moderate head retention. It is clear.

Smell: The aromas are filled with stones fruits which remind me of peaches and apricots. There is a low level of mango.

Taste: The flavors are loaded with peach and apricot. There is also a low level of caramel. There are low levels of tropical fruit. (Pineapple and Mango).

Feel: It has a moderate feel to it with a moderate level of bitterness.

Overall, this is loaded with stone fruit and some tropical fruit with a decent malt base.

Guess I'm celebrating IPA day? Couldn't find a bottling date, but this arrived at my local in the last 2 weeks. Poured from a 22oz bomber into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.

Brilliantly clear amber body with an active thin layer of magnolia up top. Good retention, soapy lacing.

Speaking of soap, the aromatics are intensely floral from afar, growing more herbal, and finally dank as the beer gets closer to the nose. Faint hint of citrus and garlic scapes as well.

Assertive, moderately bitter, fruity, and almost candy like, but more herbal than sweet. Minty, but not catty...no onion notes. Maltier than I would expect from Coronado, but this provides a welcome balance to off-set the oily, somewhat strange signature of the Polaris hops (which have a reputation for being temperamental in the home-brewing world). Very dry, slightly herbaceous finish.

Medium-bodied, not quite sticky mouth-feel.

Polaris is an extremely potent but rather strange hop - even when used sparingly and with great expertise as it is here, it still stands out so distinctively that this beer is more of a curiosity than something I'd want to return to again. Well crafted, but not terribly enjoyable...

Picked up a bomber from TW Arrowhead on 4-16-17 for $7.49. Bottled on 2-21-17 but stored in the beer fridge since purchase.

Beer poured golden with a nice white head that has some good hang time.

Nose is floral forward with a hint of pineapple.

Taste is floral hops forward, somewhat grassy with a touch of sweet tropical, finishing with weedy lingering over the palate.

Feel is crisp, clean, and refreshing.

Overall this is a decent beer that was worthy of a shot. This is an interesting hop profile that is somewhat unique but the nuances are not overly enjoyable.

1 PINT, 6 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a tulip glass

This beer pours amber in color with golden highlights and has a slight haze. It is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves no lacing.

It smells skunky at first, then dank. As it warms I smell some citrus and tropical fruit.

The taste is dank with tropical fruit.

Medium mouthfeel

This is a dank, juicy IPA that is not too shabby. It is worth a try for sure.
