Nothing exceptional but decently drinkable. American Oak, Alameda, CA, April 2017.

Tried this offering from the local who reaches out.
Look was the golden but no hop aroma. Maybe it was the transport to the east coast. Taste was smooth but alcohol like. Maybe if I could try it fresh I would have a better revisit attitude. I'll finish the six anyway.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, some pine. Taste is citrus, pine, light alcohol, mild bitterness for the style. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer, but the flavors seem to clash rather than flow together.

This pours a tan yellow in the glass. Nice aroma, with some straw and citrus. There's a sweet orange rind, some bittering on the finish. One was enough for me.

Somehow managed to avoid this all these years. Clear yellow with plenty of foam in the Pleasing floral aroma with notes of pine and orange. Quite frothy and acidic on the tongue. Thin body with just a wisp of malt.

Lime peel taste. Plenty bitter but not overwhelming. Grapefruit pith aftertaste, though. Seems to get sharper and even more acidic as you sip. The Hop Mistress is a harsh one. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.

On-tap served in a snifter at Hair of the Dog, Bangkok.

Translucent to mildly-hazed golden amber in color, it comes with thick frothy white head that well retains itself before slowly subsiding to a layer of foamy crown and leaving good lacing.

The aroma and taste reflect the same characters of lemon, tropical fruit, pine, grapefruit, orange, sweet, caramel, biscuit, boozy alcohol, and persistent yet strong resiny bitterness.

The feeling is just right with proper amount of carbonation to carry all the things well under the smooth mouthfeel and good palatable profile, dry finish.

Good DIPA in general, except there is some alcohol kick lurking. Nice tropical character.
