Hey, this is good stuff. Distinctive San Diego hop profile, but not too harsh – with a smooth, malty finish. Not usually a big fan of pint cans as a size option, but just downed two of these (poured into a glass)… and feeling no pain! It’s a beautiful SoCal Sunday, appropriately enough :)

Drinking this at The Dish Dash in Silicon Valley San Jose California.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Looks slightly hazy, golden yellow with a nice white foamy head that dropped to a thick cap and some nice laclng
Smells lightly bready, spicy, citrusy.
Taste follows the nose nicely, all the elements are stronger in the tasting than in the nose.
Mouth feel is medium for the style, a bit sticky with a nice dry finish.
Overall a very nice AIPA that I would definitely order again.

Pours a beautiful clear golden yellow with a large puffy white cap that has good retention and great lacing. Aroma is citrus. Flavor follows the nose, nice and citrusy with a bit of hop bite in the finish. Feel is light bodied and well carbonated. Overall a very tasty beer from a brewery I'm starting to put some real trust in.

I got a 6pck of this beer from my local beer store just around the corner. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had very nice citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus peel spice presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer!

It's a very light amber and translucent liquid just dispensed from a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass. The resultant head is short-lived and there's almost no glass lacing. There's some malt/yeast/hops combination under the glass lip, but it's not nose catching. Although light on the mouthfeel, the taste is an excellent balance of the three characteristics caught by the nose. It's a very drinkable AIPA and tastes better than the final rating will indicate.

Ok, hey now. Here we go... This one is straight up a desert island; like, it’s all tropical but with a dry finish. And I’m into that like watching Adriana Lima finish sanding a tissarant table. Woot, that makes Raul’s driver go 400 yards!

Overall this beer is very good, but I don't think it has reached its full potential. The look is pleasing but nothing special, and the same goes for the smell. The hops are very apparent at the front but fade quickly. But for a decently heavy IPA alcohol-wise, this beer has a great feel that makes a nearly 7% IPA feel sessionable. I'd recommend this beer, but perhaps not as a first choice or as something that will blow your socks off.

Weekend Vibes pours into my glass only slightly hazy and pale straw in color. Minimal carbonation supports a cloudy, bone white head with good retention.
As I hold Weekend Vibes to my nose, I’m confronted with an assertive, borderline aggressive, yet pleasant hop aroma. Weekend Vibes’ aroma is a fairly seamless blend of bready, soda cracker malts and hops from the pacific northwest. The aroma’s hop profile starts off with a base of pine resin mixed with notes of lemon. All of this leads into a finish that is kind of earthy with maybe just a hint of what could be caramel as well.
On the tongue, Weekend Vibes starts medium bodied and initially sweet. It seems malty, toasted bread and demarara sugar balanced with soda cracker and a vaguely herbal quality. Flavors build towards a somewhat spicy center before leading into a big hop finish. The flavor profile on the hops has a much more woodier quality than what they provided in the aroma, which I’m finding more enjoyable. Somehow, that woody quality lends character to the beer.
Overall, I’m finding this to be a very respectable IPA in that it’s flavorful and has a decent character. The malt profile is present without being so intense as to make this beer hard to drink. And I can say the same thing about the hop profile. Weekend Vibes’ hop profile is outright assertive without being so aggressive as to be hard to drink. I think this would be a really good balance to creamy soups or any slightly fatty dish like fish and chips.

Canned on 06/20/2020. Purchased at Pavillions in Marina del Rey, CA. Referred to as a "San Diego-style IPA." Hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Simcoe. 6.8%

Bright, golden, hint of haze, and a fluffy, clingy lace. Big, fruity nose that's packed with tropical and citrus notes with floral undertones. Light, smooth, and super creamy. Fleshy, semi-juicy, tropical fruit flavors, some pine, and a good amount of orange and zest, too. A bit dank, grassy, and herbal. Hoppy, but not overly bitter. Biscuity malt character. Semi-astringent in the finish, which is quite dry.

Weekend Vibes is a solid West Coast IPA. I'd love to find some cans that were closer to the canned on date, but it's in good shape for being almost three months out.

canned 6/15/20. bought off a room temp shelf as a single 16 oz can about 8/5. stored in a fridge and poured into a pint glass. Clear and gold on pour with white voluminous head but almost no carbonation visible in the glass. Head was not very persistent and did leave some nice lacing around the original top of the head. Almost no smell at all. I had to ask my wife "do you smell anything here at all?" She thought maybe a hint of fruit. Not sure if this is the result of too long at room temp on a shelf or what. Taste was quite subtle and what flavors I could pick up were characteristic of the hop mix. probably a little more dank than I prefer. Feel was ok - somewhat like a generic IPA with a little (very little) oily sensation. In general, this was not "bad" but it was unremarkable given the large number of readily available IPAs that have really distinctive, bold flavor and aroma. To me this was like an "intro to IPA" beer for someone used to drinking generic mass market lagers. I would be very curious to taste a fresh version of this beer and see if the smell and taste are more assertive.

Look: Clear golden color. Fluffy head that eventually dissipates to a foam cap. Visible fast rising carbonation. Plenty of lacing.
Smell: Aroma of caramel malt, pine and citrus.
Taste: Taste is far more interesting than the smell. When it’s cold it's got the blueberry flavor of Mosaic hops the citrus tropical flavors of Citra and the tropical and passion fruit with a side order of pine and apricot from Simcoe hops. As it warms, a lot more of the bitterness comes through. Genuinely nice flavor profile. Good cold and good warm. Good with small sips and good with gulps.
Feel: Medium clean mouthfeel, a bit of an alcohol bite on the sides of the tongue when you hold it there for a couple seconds. Soft carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: The aroma conceals rather than reveals the flavor of this beer. I can live with that. Flavor/taste is the most important thing to me and as such I am looking forward to the rest of the six pack. This came to me as a Father’s Day gift and I have never heard of Coronado Brewing Co. It is quite tasty and I would be happy to drink it again.

Personally, this is my favorite beer. Is it the most complex or nuanced? No, but those attributes are still present. However, I see it at the store and I measure every new beer I think of trying with it. Smells and tastes great. Always tastes smooth, fresh, and I love the ingredients. The feel and look are average. The price is $13 for a six pack of pints. Great deal and even better flavor. No matter the day, Weekend Vibes puts you in that weekend state of mind.

Oh hi, bronze medal winner from 2019’s GABF. You’re two months old, off of a room temperature Trader Joe’s shelf. … I’m sure you’re fantastic, but I’m not expecting much.
Crack it open, marvel at the clear west coast brew. Catch a waft of the aroma, lots of dank (simcoe?) notes. The flavor is equally floral-juicy with that dank and bitter hoppy finish. I’m liking this, lots. Only picked up two cans, and it’s going to be another three weeks before I go back to the store. Hope I see this one again, but a little fresher.

Canned 03/13/2020. Picked up a 6er of tall boys at the brewery during this viral breakout/pandemic. Also had some delicious crispy fish tacos and onion rings. This is standard fare for an IPA these days. Super fruity with tons of hoppy goodness. It has Mosaic/Citra/Simcoe so you already know it’s going to be tasty before you crack it open. Dank and juicy but could finish a bit better.

Fabulous beer and a good deal. Happy to find this at beer distributor in Pennsylvania just over the line from Delaware. 6 pack of 16 oz cans for the price you pay for most 4 packs these days. Love the hop combination described and the beer came through. Great citrus scent and taste but not a hazy. Just a great refreshing IPA. Hoppy with some bitterness but pretty easy to drink. Great cans and label and name for this outstanding beer

Date codes are all illegible, but I believe this is fresh. Poured from a tall-boy can into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.

Gold/amber gradient, nearly clear with four fingers of pearling, rocky cosmic-latte foam up top. Sticky, soapy lacing; superior retention.

Resinous aromatics with citrus (lime, ugli fruit), scallion, and faint tropical notes. Low, clean malt notes are hinted at.

Moderately bitter, herbal, and zesty palate entry with lots of orange, some lime, lemongrass, and perhaps passion-fruit. Not quite catty, the Simcoe is still a bit on the onion/garlic side. Clean malt and neutral yeast ensure this is a showcase for the hops while providing structure if not balance. Dry, slightly fruity finish.

Medium-light bodied, a little too sticky to be crisp - well carbonated. Mouth-feel is better when the beer is well chilled, though you sacrifice some flavor/aromatics if you serve it too cold.

While not quite meeting my expectations given the ingredients and the brewer, this is still an enjoyable IPA and a good value.

Dark yellow color, soapy head, decent lace. Mild berry and pine aroma, more mosaic than anything. Fruity berry and pine flavors as well. I think this had a touch of diacetyl so I had to knock it just a bit but it is a west coast IPA heavy on Mosaic flavors which is a refreshing break from the hazecraze.

Appearance - Pours a gold with four fingers of frothy white head.

Smell - citrus and tropical hops, hint of pineapple, citrus and orange peel, hint of grapefruit peel, bready malts, caramel, earthy fruity yeast.

Taste - bold citrus and tropical hops upfront followed by the hint of pineapple, citrus and orange peel, and hint of grapefruit peel. The bready malts, caramel, and earthy fruity yeast round out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium boded with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops, tropical fruits, and malts lingering.

Overall - A solid IPA that delivers on the fruit-forward front. Definitely feeling the "weekend vibes" with this beer on this mild summer-ish evening here in Cowtown!

Canned 4-2-2019
L: Straw colored. Very light haze. 1 minute post pour is flat head, watery lacing.
S: Citrus (mostly orange) and floral. Wet, but just this side of dank.
T: Orange, almost as a creamsicle.
F: Smooth, oily even. No bitterness or carbonation.
O: Love it, as it is a well put together beer. It was a great find on a trip to SD. Amarillo really holds true on this one. Yea, I brought 8 of them home with me.
