Clear golden yellow brew with a lush and persistent white foam in the Pilsner glass. A honey taste along with orange marmalade and ripe honeydew melon. While this doesn't start out as sweet or as strong as the typical DIPA, it is pretty robust after some sipping.
BItterness is also pretty modest, though it does have a hoppy finish with some lime peel. This is quite fruity and complex, with the flavors opening as it warms. Quite sippable, a friendly sort of strong beer. I think Coronado would be more well-regarded with a glass of this stuff. From the 16 oz can purchased at Barons Market.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of pineapple, guava, orange and sweet caramel malt. Sweet tropical fruit punch up front with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that left a nice lace. The scent had bitter citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base and bitter tropical citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Pours a golden yellow color with a bit of suspended haze and a sudsy white head that grips the glass. Tropical citrus aromas dominate the nose, especially mango and passion fruit, and there some pine as well.
The mango and passion fruit lead the tast, and there’s enough resiny pine to impart a nice, lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium and very dry, fitting the WCDIPA style.
This is an easy drinking, flavorful WCDIPA that I’d gladly revisit.

This is decent but kinda unimpressive. Its a little over 2 months old and basically tastes like any other malt forward ipa. Happy to see something that appears more obscure in Northeast Ohio but idk. Probably a one and done for me.

Never Better is a slightly hazy DIPA, and clocking in at a color of ripe hay with light copper highlights, is paler in color than expected. Thin streams of CO2 support a cloudy white head with good retention.
Never Better smells like rich, caramel malt combined the woody, pithy, pine resin aroma of American hops. A whiff of fresh bread in the center helps cut the intensity of the hop profile temporarily. Then, the hops come round again, this time with just a hint of citrus.
On the tongue, Never Better is full bodied, smooth, and very hop forward. Never Better introduces itself as a very big and bold brew. Caramel malt lays the foundation for a huge, assertive smack of American hops. A woody sort of bitterness combines easily with the mouthcoating bitterness of grapefruit, ending with pine resin.
It's big, bold, and mouth coating in its borderline aggressive hop nature. But then again, that's why we love our double IPAs, isn't it?

Pours a hazy orangish gold with plenty of floating particulates. Huge pillow of white foam that lasts and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is mild, near non existent citrus and pine. Flavor is also mild, with the same citrus and pine, sweet with a malt backbone. Feel is medium bodied and a bit under carbonated. Overall a nice but not great beer.

I am a huge DIPA drinker. I was disappointed after seeing the overall rating. This was good but nothing special considering it had mosaic and citra hops. I did not taste any bursting flavors noted.

Very, very good! Nice amber color and a thick frothy head. ABV is not noticeable at all in taste. The caption on the can says it best ..."unfiltered, tropical, dank" .... One of the best beers I ever viewed of late!

I typically like what coronado has to offer but i have to say that this one doesn't really work for me. canned 7/7/20, consumed 9/16/20 so the timing is not bad. maybe it got some bad treatment...
L: drinking from the can. the can looks pretty nice
S: the aroma is pretty nice but not as enticing as the tops of this style. some citrus and some pine but kind of muted
T: I'm just not feeling it. flavors are pretty subdued. it's bitter, ok, fine, but i don't get much else that is interesting. has a kind of vegetal note that I just don't find to be pleasant. kind of a bummer because i love the DIPAs
F: not particularly distinguished either way on mouth feel.
O: sorry but i'm just not a fan of this one. maybe give it another try when my monger gets a new batch. perhaps it was not stored properly on the trip from CA to PA. or maybe just let it go and stick to the (many) ones that I enjoy.
