Appearance: Tawny, opaque brew. Puffy head that deflates almost instantly, leaving no lacing.
Smell: Cloves! White wine, lemon peel, allspice.
Taste: Holy fuck that's sweet. Raisins, bananas, apples, yeast, slight malt presence, peppery finish.
Mouthfeel: Lots of carbonation, heavy body.
Drinkability: Not too bad. No alcohol bite with the 8% liquor, but it's really fucking sweet. It's gonna take me at least 3 episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to finish this bomber.
Verdict: Not terrible. Something I'd happily split between friends.

Poured a dark amber orange college with some quickly disapating head. Lots of floral notes on the nose, some citrus, taste was similar, lots of floral flavors, some earth/and acidity. Medium bodied, on the heavy side for a saison. Overall a decent saison with high notes of floal.

Poured into a Southern Tier tulip style glass. No readable freshness date.
A- Pours a dark orangish-amber color with a 3/4 inch white head that retains nicely before reducing to an 1/8 inch head. Resilient and fluffy lacing.
S- Smells very spicy, like potpourri. Ginger and the chamomile come through very well. Also a bit of cinnamon.
T- Tastes like cinnamon buns and gingersnaps. Doughy malts also provide a sense of balance amongst the special ingredients. Pronounced notes of ginger and subtle notes of spearmint.
M - Crisp and a bit prickly due to the spice. Medium carbonation and a semi-light body.
O- Doesn't taste so much like a saison than rather a straight up spiced beer since there is not much of a Belgian yeast tone. Still very good.

Pours an okay hazy orange with a decent soapy head that retreats quickly.
smells like spices. almost holiday-esque.
yep, tastes the same. this isn't a saison, IMO. Coriander and huge nutmeg and cinnamon, this is not far off of a decent pumpkin ale.
flat. could be an old bottle, but the carbonation lacks.
too overly spiced, even for a pumpkin ale.

Poured into a tulip.
A: Pours a golden amber with 1 finger of white head. Appears cloudy with low carbonation. Some yeast sediment is suspended in the glass. Has a thin layer of tight lacing.
N: Light grains, lemony citrus and pilsner malt with hints of apple and pear. Some subtle wheat also makes an appearance.
T: Lemon, cantaloupe, pilsner malt, caramel, honeydew and wheat upfront. Mid-palate shows both black and green tea, notes of apple & pear and hints of grassy noble hops. Finishes with Pinesol, faint chocolate, some dirty hay, ginger and faint black pepper.
M: Light-medium bodied, smooth, clean and slightly crisp.
O: The malts are really more dominant than what I want in a Saison although it does still retain some juiciness and is quite refreshing. The spices and funk are very subdued in the finish. Not bad, not great but slightly better than average. Alcohol is well hidden.

Coronado Brewing Co. Saison By The Sea, Belgian Style ale brewed with spices. 8.0% alcohol 22oz. bomber poured into pint glass.
A- Pours a golden orange fluid that glows in the light, mildly zesty head falls to a creamy white froth leaving decent patchy lacing on the glass.
S- Not much funk on the nose of this one just hints of sweet ginger, hibiscus, mint, and light notes of musky yeast.
T- Hard to explain why or how this one is a Farmhouse ale in the fact i've had quite a few in the past month... but I'll try to explain. Upfront are strong bites of allspice and mint with light notes of sushi grade ginger stinging the backbone of the initial flavor bite. Secondly it has a raw earthy dirt-like aftertaste of wheat and yeast. Mouthfeel is edgy with all that is going on flavorwise it boast water feel and light carbonation making the taste linger a little to long.
Overall very drinkable and different for the style and for a matter of fact any beer i've tried and for that it is a decent lawnmower beer. For a Saison/ Farmhouse it falls short of the funkiness and horseblanket you'd come to expect... If it makes any difference this beer was fully consumed within' this review in that case... Cheers!
