Notes: This So-Cal take on a traditional witbier honors Coronado’s main street, which is home to our brewpub and was once lined with orange trees. Bolstered by orange zest, coriander and orange blossom honey, it’s Belgium by way of Coronado. Expect a refreshing, light-bodied brew rife with citrus zing and a hint of earthy spice.

A: Nice light color. Little bit of head, some lacing. Decent amount of carbonation.

S: Sweet initial aroma hits you, ends with some nice citrus.

T: Good for its style. You can taste a lot of the honey and citrus flavor. Nice balance of flavors, no real hoppy bight.

M: Decent amount of thickness for such a light beer. Good amount of chew.

D: It's definitely drinkable, I'd drink one again if I had it.

Overall: Overall, it was a good beer with a nice balance of citrus and sweetness. It's not really my type of beer, but for its style, it was enjoyable. A good change of pace, though.

Good beer that has a nice orange hint to it. It's subtle

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating but was recently released in the state. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange peel, lemon zest, pear, light banana, wheat, biscuit, honey, coriander, light clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready/honey malt, spice, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange peel, lemon zest, pear, light banana, wheat, biscuit, honey, coriander, light clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of orange peel, lemon zest, pear, light banana, wheat, biscuit, honey, coriander, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and robustness of spice, yeast ester, and bready/honey malt sweetness; with decent complexity and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with smooth, moderately creamy, and slightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good witbier. Good robustness and balance of yeast ester, spices, and bready/honey malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A pleasant and enjoyable offering.

A - Cloudy orange pour with a bubbly white foam head. Slight lacing.

S - Strong citrus smell with a bit of yeast and zest. Some coriander spice lingers.

T - Decent flavor of light grains and tart orange flavor. Finish is mildly spiced.

M - Easy drinking witbier with good drinkability. Good BBQ beer pairing.

O - Just a solid wheat beer with some strong citrus notes. Better to have orange in your beer this way than what Blue Moon does.

This beer pours a bright gold with a better than average head. The aroma features lots of lemon and orange peel, nutmeg, peppermint candy, clove, coriander and tomato. The flavor features orange peel first, almost clementine orange, then a decent dose of coriander and nutmeg, followed by lemon, and then flattening out into biscuity, rough malts, oats, and more clove. The mouthfeel is soft and full with luscious carbonation. Overall this is a nice wit with a fuller mouthfeel and a good flavor progression throughout, though I am not crazy about the finish.

The appearance is a hazy blond, with a two finger head that dissipated fast, minimal to zero lacing, this may be because the bottle was six months old.

Not a strong smell but does have floral notes

This is a wheat beer that would compliment a meal becuase of the mellow spices.

Coriander spice dominates taste. Not my favorite spice.

Nice semi-cloudy gold in color with very minimal head and no lacing. Aroma is extremely light with just a touch of orange peel. Taste is cool with some watery orange flavor and the feel is reminiscent of a wheat. Finish s clean with a touch of a creamsicle at the end
