A: Strong effervesce within a lemon peel colored body that showed light hints of orange. A frumpy, eggshell white head sits one inch and maintains to a lengthy degree. Heavy thick saturn like ring for lace.

S: Sour lemon funk, light grainy pilsner scent, semi-dry bread.

T: Flavor showed a touch of lemon funk, fairly crisp, with some musky pilsner grains. Lemony twang, big and bold, with some bready character.

M: Light creamy body, turns frothy with a high rate of carbonation.

O: Overall a pretty big and bold sour lemony twang, a bit much for sessionability. Yeasty, musky, more american blonde then czech pilsner. Lacks that high degree of saaz hops, not as clean as traditional german styles.

I had this once at a bbq joint next to the bay not far from the brewery. They sell multiple 6 packs of the IPA's and everything else which are also very good but this particular beer I would give my left nut for. I absolutely fell in love with this beer and every day I wish I could find it in stores.

Served fresh from the brewery's tap. Has a golden hue slightly darker than macropilsners. Strong lacing. Finger and a half of head. Aroma is of yeast spice, fruity hops, and a hint of bread. Strong malt flavor for a Pilsner, yet still finishes pretty dry. Strong CO2 gives this beer a highly refreshing character. Excellent lager.

Straw yellow with excellent clarity. There's a quarter inch of bright white on top. Light lacing. I smell light malt and faint lemon. The aroma is difficult to detect. I taste light malt, corn, and very faint German bittering hops. The mouth is fairly light, crisp, and smooth.

Poured into a Funky Buddha Brewery snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a semi-hazy light amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of sheer surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a thin jagged ring behind.

S- Sweet, bready malt with a hint of hops.

T- Pretty standard Czech Pilsner flavor with the Saaz hops providing a mild bitterness and some moderate earthy and spicy flavors.

M- Somewhat crisp with medium carbonation and a lightish body. Another reviewer said it smells like Cheerios or Corn Pops and they're spot on.

O- I'm not loving it but I'm also not hating it like I usually do with Czech Pilsners. The Saaz hops are usually the culprit but, with this, they're kept at bay.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: 0.5L glass (16.9 oz.)
From: Barons Market in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $1.79
Purchased: Oct. 22, 2014
Consumed: Oct. 23, 2014
Misc.: N/A

Poured a yellow, golden, clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy white head. Good-looking streams of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Minimal spotty lacing on the way down. Below average retention. (Sight - 3.50)

Smelled Cheerios cereal, light Corn Pops or Kix cereal, corn, sourdough bread, hay, biscuit, shortbread cookies, grassy malts, honey and Roman Catholic bread (the body of Christ). (Smell - 3.50)

Tasted pretty close to the nose, which was pretty just above average. Got sourdough bread, cereal (Cheerios, Kix and Corn Pops), hay, grassy malts, shortbread cookies, honey wheat, corn on the cob and light caramel. (Taste - 3.50)

Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Average carbonation. Crisp, somewhat refreshing, abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.75)

A pretty decent pilsner, but nothing to write home about. Glad I got to try it though. (Overall - 3.50)
