I finally did it, I have reached a place which I have wanted to visit for a long long time. I don't know what it was; the limited availability of their beer in Orange County (where i grew up) as I got into my beer habit; being located in Coronado, the legend of their IPA's being great quality. I visited their larger operation in San Diego a decade back, but it's tough to catch the character of the original.
The inside of the place looks like a restaurant from the 90s with a smallish bar located on its own. Even my pint of bneer was poured into a boring shaker pint glass; no fun! I managed to grab seat at the bar before 6pm on a Wednesday and came into a very busy place. With 20 beers pouring in-house, checking off styles like IPA, stout, IDA (India Dark Ale, Black IPA is bullocks), a hard ginger beer, amber ale, and a few mainstays I remember like Orange Ave Wit on the menu, you can expect to find a beer for yourself and your party. Limited time kept me from the full experience with food, but I liked what I crawled into, and also a place to rest at after snapping a few photos of downtown San Diego.

Large brewpub on Coronado Island. Sat in large dining room with a dozen tables and booths. Other rooms, but I didn't move about much so not sure how big the bar was. 16 nicely assorted beers on tap, the one I had was very tasty. Friendly server. Did not try the food.

Super upscale vibe, nice restaurant kind of deal. Bar is packed generally but still doable. Selection is pretty good, they have some limited stuff on draught. Good for a night out, not really a quick hit kind of place.

Visited here with Da Boss today for lunch. It has been at least 10 years since our last visit.
Vibe was okay but it was the lunch crowd. It was pretty light when we first got there but the pub was fairly full when we left.
Quality of the beers are solid but not spectacular. You can tell the consistency is very good.
Service was okay, she did not want to chat at all and was not overly friendly.
Selection was pretty ample with at least 20-25 house brews available.
Food was a mix bag. My pulled pork sandwich was solid whereas Da Boss' fish tacos were a little under spiced and a little overcooked (they were serviceable but nothing to make you say wow).
Overall it was a pleasant time sitting on the patio looking at Orange Avenue. Worth a stop if visiting the island and you are an IPA fan.

Beer was fresh and the variety was abundant. Good selection of different beers as well as some rarer finds. The service was okay, I did not have food and the vibe was okay too. I was there during lunch time.
