First impression of this place was very good. Seated on a corner of Broad st. and Washington in Burlington NJ. After hearing good thing's the wife and I had to give it a try.The atmosphere was very nice as soon as you walk in. Big bar with some big, comfy leather bar stools. Some extra dining seating in the back with a nice little electric fireplace.

As for everything else thing's just went south from here. Service was very slow and there was only one other table to be worked on. Certain food items were not available, so no turkey,no musseles, no crab balls, and no corned beef. They could only pretty much substitute everything with chicken.

I rated the selection low because they was literally nothing on tap besides the Kane Solitude, Just IPA and Stoudt's pale ale. Everything advertised was kicked and not being set up anytime soon.

It's not like we came here middle of the week and midday, this was a Friday night at 6:00. The portabella mushroom burger was about the only thing going for it. I got the Geraghty's special but since no turkey I substituted with chicken.

In the end they charged us full price on the bill even though we were there for happy hour which states half off craft beer and appetizers.

All and all it was a nice place by no means a hole in the wall bar. Just very disappointing with the no show of beer and food. Unacceptable. But at that note I would still like to try it again just to see if it has improved any.

Geraghtys is a nice little corner pub for the locals. The tap beers are a mix of the macro basics and some nice craft taps. The owner Ken works hard to have a good tap and bottle selection. The food has gotten better over the years; the current chefs make some good items. Food prices are usually a little higher than they should be. The service varies, although I think sometimes the kitchen is the culprit. The servers work hard to serve you. Megan is great! Ken has brought in some beer festivals and beer dinners, which have been very good and priced reasonably. Check this place out if you are in the area!

I love this little bar. The number of beers on tap for a corner bar is phenomenal!!! The food is nice bar food, with a few surprises. The prices are good for both the food and beer. I love to stop here after work and have a nice pint along with dinner before heading home. (no driving - I live 2 blocks from this pub)

The only complaint I have is that it is NOT an IRSIH pub. The owner will tell you that when you ask where is the IRISH food??? For all the hype on the website and the IRISH flag out front, there isn't any simple staples like fish and chips (yeah, I know more english than Irish), Shepherd's Pie (usually made as Cottage Pie - using ground beef instead of lamb), or Irish Stew. If you are going to be an IRISH pub, than have Irish fare. Just because you serve Guinness, does not make you an Irish Pub!!!

From the outside, Geraghty's might not look like much. The standard pub neons advertising Guinness and Leinenkugels, along with the weathered faux-stone exterior allude to a locals-only hometown bar. However, step one foot inside, and you'll realize that this is a pub of a different color. Right off the bat, you will likely notice the warm interior, with new hardwood floors and trim, huge wrap-around bar and multiple flatscreen televisions. And right at the end of the bar: the 20-beer tap. Commence drooling.

Being that this bar is in the center of a historic town, you do tend to get your "historic" regulars, which requires you to keep your standard brews from the "Big Three" on tap at all time (Coors Light, Bud, Miller Lite), but most every other tap is constantly revolving, and rarely repetitive. I always look to the 2-wall chalkboard to see what's the most recent additions, as well as get a feel for what is upcoming. The owner is sure to flush every tap line after every beer, as any self-and-beer-respecting pub owner should, so that you always have a fresh beer, from freshly tapped to spitting CO2. They also offer growler's to go, which is always an added bonus, and a sign of someone who cares about beer enough to let you enjoy it at home as well.

The food is also not to be overlooked. The owner has a Japanese background, which may throw you for an Irish pub, but he does Japanese Pub fare right. It is not the most lengthy menu, but what is on there counts. You can order mussels right along with your gyoza or shumai, or get a bison burger and an order of sushi. Their specials are great, and always worth the low price. And be sure to take the chips they offer instead of exchanging for fries; they are homemade, topped with a sprinkle of parmesan, and ARE ADDICTIVE!!!

Ken, the owner, takes great pride and care with each beer he selects to serve up. Not only do they have the 18 taps, but they also typically have over 100 different beers bottled, although they do need to keep updating their beer menu, as it is typical that you need to order several different ones until you get one they have in stock, and there are many that do not get on the menu, but are missed because of this.

With special holiday events and a summer beer festival, it's a small wonder that beer geeks aren't flocking to this small town beer mecca, but being that I AM a regular, and they're located around the corner from my house, I don't necessarily mind that I can get a seat when I go.

You won't regret trying this place out.
