Stopped by here with the family for lunch. Not many people there right at noon, but it slowly filled up as we ate. Because of this though, the service was fantastic. Never did we have an empty glass. Food came out promptly, and as always, was fantastic. We always seem to go with their "House" pie, and why fix what isn't broken? As for the beer, I've seen better rotations at other MMs, but I've also seen worse. Lots of locals represented - Highland, Duck-Rabbit, Foothills, Olde Hickory, Catawba. And the usual suspects as well - Rogue, DFH, New Belgium, SN, etc. They have quite a bottle-selection as well. One would be hard-pressed to not find something tasty on this menu...drink as well as food. Recommend.

Mellow Mushroom is definitely an interesting place. From trippy designs such as giant mushrooms hanging from the ceilings, to the silly drug-named foods on the menu.

Great food. Ranges from your typical foods to subs and pizza. A lot of vegetarian/vegan options. What impressed me was the beer selection. They had 3 pages of beer (cans, bottles, 22 oz's, tap). Some beer that is really hard to find and a lot of local beer on the menu.

Ate here twice while visiting my family

The vibe was pretty good, typical for the chain.

Service oscillated between indifferent & over compensation, both visits. Now that I know I am forewarned. Easily the worst service of the four MMs I've visited beyond a doubt

A lot of wasted taps, but plenty of foothills, Catawba valley & one duck rabbit, plus others mixed in, plus a respectable bottled selection

Food was good, not great

Having to always double check waitstaff, I felt like should've asked for 10-20% of their wages. Having said that, that, this is Hickory, I will give them another go next visit...

I was driving down LR Boulevard after visiting with the folks for Christmas and noticed this place was sitting in the old Rock Ola Cafe building. My sources tell me this place has been open about 2 months. I was surprised, and since it was lunch time, I pulled over for some 'za.

Typical MM restaurant. Large and vacuous on the inside with a huge bar area to the left. The place was packed but I was able to find a stool at the bar.

There were about 30 drafts and many of them were locals like Olde Hickory, Pisgah, Catawba Valley Brewing Company, and other staples like Bells, Terrapin, and several others.

The food is always good and this establishment didnt disappoint. Service was spotty, which again is typical. Certainly easy to find and should be a popular spot for good beer and good food.
