Stopped over in Baton Rouge while returning from vacation in the Florida Panhandle. Purposely picked an AirBnb close by. We hit it up for some evening beers before going out. Place was pretty much deserted due to the weather, time we went, and was summer school at LSU. If I lived in BR, I would probably be happy hanging out here and would have a majority of my needs met. Staff was super nice, no food truck (but they would have lost money that nite), beer selection was pretty good on tap, plus you could get cans out of the fridge if you didn't like the tap offering. There was a blonde, pils, pale (Juke Joint), IPA (Voodoo), a dark beer, a fruited stout and a couple of sours. Voodoo was what I went for since I can't get it fresh in Houston anymore. Pils was legit, fruited stout was good, not my cup of tea, pretty much everything we had was good. Had a set of twin grandkids with me and no one was on the patio so we spent most of the time out there and they got to run amok. Will definitely go back if I ever pass thru, has always been on my list of places to go in BR. Also grabbed a couple of six packs out of the cooler, a Rice Lager and an Italian Lager (think Italian pils). Good move as I have been enjoying both of them.

Tin Roof is located in a former warehouse or industrial building in a possibly recovering former industrial area inside the levee between downtown Baton Rouge and LSU. Parking is ample if a bit dodgy on and around the foundations of demolished buildings.
The tap room is down one side of the building, with viewing windows into the brewery. A nice size bar along one long wall is faced by a row of rustic tables along the other, with more tables in front (at the gear display) and in the back. Televisions with (LSU) sports are on over the bar. Outside, there’s a covered deck and a lawn, both with picnic tables.
Ten taps offer a varied selection of Tin Roof’s regular, limited and new releases.
Food is usually available by food truck, these days a well-regarded taco truck.
