Bottle: Poured a clear golden color lambic with a large white foamy head with OK retention and some alight lacing. Aroma of funky notes with some light fruity plum notes is quite enjoyable. Taste is a good mix of plum notes with some tart notes, light oak with some funky Brett notes with very subtle acidity notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Super enjoyable lambic.

2016 bottle
White head. Burnt golden orange color.
A nice amount of funk, cobweb, and dust. Some sourness and tart flavors. Green apples. Some berry fruits, but guessing that is from the plums. Has a caramel sweetness near the finish. Finishes really bland with no flavor in the aftertaste.
A very interesting lambic. I enjoyed my pour.

Possibly eraser smell but not too off putting, kinda enjoyed this one. Taste is lite plum, clean Apple (no green apple) a bit of citrus, some funk. Smooth, not yogurt like.

2014. Odd sort of eraser smell. Somewhat yogurty. Not my favorite.

750ml bottle, #0979/1000, 2013 vintage, poured into an OWA Pokal glass.
The beer pours a bright golden color, very clear though the bottom of the bottle shows some haziness, a number of tiny bubbles race to the top of the glass where a thick finger or so of white head, soapy and frothy, sits that has very nice retention and leaves big swatches of soapy lace behind. The aroma is pleasant, sweet plum, lemon peel, a bit of candi sugar and some strong musty funk and damp straw. The flavors are nice, lots of citrus zest, tart plum, white grape, mild oak and musty horseblanket. The mouthfeel is nice, lively body with crisp but gentle carbonation that coats fairly well and finishes with a sour puckery bite.
Verdict: A very nice lambic from OWA, the plum doesn't jump out, hides a bit behind the citrus, but does add some nice tartness and acts as a counterbalance to the bright and more acidic flavors that come across initially. It's definitely a bit sweeter than a typical lambic, but definitely has a sour thing going on too, very interesting, but very enjoyable beer.

750 ml bottle best before February 2017. Poured into a Cantillon Iris glass.
Appearance: Pour a bright gold color with less than a finger of white head that dissipates to a thick ring with some wispy coating. Body is hazy but still transparent with light visible carbonation and tiny amounts of suspended sediment.
Smell: Funky cereal grain aroma with lesser notes of hay, red apple and very mild lemon. Not really really doing anything for me.
Taste: Apple, slight sweetness, wet grain, hay, maybe a hint of white grape.
Mouthfeel: Light/medium bodied with a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Carbonation on the lower side. Finishes semi sweet with a very light sourness.
Overall: Not sure what to make of this one. Really unlike any other lambic I've ever had. I'm not sure if this is back sweetened or maybe entirely young lambic, but whatever it is I'm not really a fan. It's not bad, but I had much higher expectations for this.

Shared this at a recent tasting.
Golden-straw color, hazy, with a cap of bubbly white head that quickly dissipated to a thin ring; minimal lacing. Aroma of funky hay, essence of lemon, with the plum coming in in a very subtle way. Good lambic taste, funk and delicate tartness, wet grass, again the plum was pretty light, almost a background flavor--this wasn't a really fruity beer, which might appeal to some and disappoint others--some savory rhubarb notes, and a hint of oak. Light-medium body, crisp and fairly dry, lightly acidic, lower carbonation. Very nice overall.
