My son's babysitter is right around the corner from place and I have been eagerly awaiting it's arrival since the "coming soon" signs showed up in the fall. I've been four or five times now and can honestly say the selection has been a little better each time, and they're less than three months old.

It's always the same guy in there so I'm assuming he's the proprietor. He's a quiet but very friendly guy who knows and talks beer with skill. I was a little underwhelmed initially with the selection but he's worked hard to spice it up. He has a nice selection of regional and local stuff that you don't see a lot, like RJ Rocker, and Triangle Brewing and they've expanded their growler selection to Lone Rider, Aviator, Craggie and one or two more I can't remember. I hope a growler station is coming.

Prices are better than most places but not by much. It's not a big place and I'm sure he has overhead. The key is that he'll sell a single bottle of anything and all prices are clearly marked. That's a big plus for me. It's easy to mix a sixer of cool stuff. Today I picked up a bottle of 2007 Brooklyn Monster for a very cool $2.70. Need to cellar a few of those bad boys. Cool, friendly place that's always getting better. Strong.

Small, unassuming beer store with a decent selection. Some of the beers have been on the shelf for a long time, but they seem to put these in a designated location. They do have some beers on the shelf that the larger bottle shops do not receive. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. This is a great little shop that's always worth a look.

A pretty cool place in the older downtown of Apex. Craft beer cellar and bar - with a small but very good selection of craft beers - Bells, Prairie, Thirsty Dog, Great Lakes, etc. and several beers on tap for growler fills or just getting a beer. Staff was nice too.

My parents will be stopping here often before trips to Connecticut.

This is the closest craft beer shop to me. It's a nice little place with a good atmosphere and a dedicated focus on craft beer. The selection is good but a little more limited than some of the more notable shops in the Triangle. And the prices are a little higher as well. But I'm glad to have them here in Apex.

The Beer Dispensery has an awesome selection of beer. They just recently obtained their on-premises ABC permit, so you can drink a cold one on sight. Highly recommended for craft beer fanatics. If you can't find it here, give it a few weeks and I bet they have it. Also, there is a great selection of local brews to try. The service is awesome too! if you have questions, or want some help finding a new beer, don't hesitate to ask the guy behind the counter for some sound advice. He is always quick to make some suggestions and point you in the right direction.

This store is a wonderful hideaway in a small town. I have lived in this area awhile and this is the best craft beet selection outside of going into Raleigh. Thenowner is an awesome guy who is always ready to help out. He has a good knowledge which is very helpful. If there is something you want to try to get in the store he will make the effort to make it happen. The selection is good with a nice balance in styles. There is a great selection from local microbreweries. They have tastings ever Thursday afternoon which is nice. Prices are a little bit higher but not outrageous. Anyone in the area must get to this place and check it out.

Located right in the heart of downtown Apex, just a 1/2 block off Salem and one block from Peak City Grill.

Fairly unassuming store on the outside. Large awning id's the place. Curtains over the windows help to keep light damage down on the product inside. Lots of dark wood on the inside makes for a pretty attractive presentation.

While the selection is top-notch, with a slight edge to micros over imports, this is not a large store. I wouldn't consider it a destination, but well worth a stop if you are in the area.

Founders, Terrapin, RJ Rockers, Thomas Creek all well represented. Good, and growing, selection of growlers. Owner is very knowledgeable about his product and will do what he can to accommodate requests.

I stopped by here for their Grand Opening celebrations last Saturday and was fairly impressed. The shop has a clean simple look with beers displayed on on rustic bookcases. They were clearly labeled with little slips of paper stuck with magnets to a strip on the leading edge (neat system). There was a broad selection of NC micros (as you'd expect) and some excellent and interesting Belgian and US micros in bombers and bottles. The place was crowded and the owners seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. They had a "wish list" sign-up for beers you wanted them to get in, which was cool. It's nice to have a micro-only kind of shop, and even though I can get a lot of their selection at any decent liquor store or supermarket here, it is going to be the rare and interesting stuff and the feeling of being in a beer focused environment that will being me back.
