Drinking from a 12 ounce can. First taste is pretty strong notes of the aleness. The label claims “subtle undertones of citrus.” They’re pretty subtle, to the point that I’m not finding them. If I take a large or small drink of it, the hops are rather unpleasant. Bad finish. I want to try this in a glass to see if it’s any better, but for now: avoid. 2017/09/02

Tasteful blonde ale , like all the beers I've tried from this brewery - they hold their head and the taste stays to the finish

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head. It smelled of sweet caramel and floral notes. Not much else. It was sweet with caramel and subtle citrus notes.

Poured from 12oz can into a tulip.

Appearance: light golden hue with a dash of haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam. Pretty spot-on for the style.

Smell: light and sweet with a little graininess and a dash of floral hops, yielding a bit of a soapy character. Not remarkable, but not bad either.

Taste: the same floral/soapy character from the aroma is here; very little bitterness with a bit of sweetness present. It's light, but basically what the style should deliver.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with an OK carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: its lightness ensures that this is a very drinkable beer, if a bit unbalanced toward the sweet end of the scale.

such a better beer than it ever will get credit for being, but i think part of that is on the brewery, or at least whoever is responsible for marketing it. we hear blonde and us beer geeks sort of turn away toward something more flavorful and interesting, but this has way more going on than any of its peers, especially regionally. this looks all golden and clear and blonde ale esque but its so much more. there is a ton of hops to it, despite it starting out down the normal easy drinking blonde trajectory, it quickly turns into an almost american pale thing, with a bitter and even juicy hop one two. lots of body too, eve almost wheaty, although i dont know what comprises it. the hops truly are unexpected, but they make it a much more flavorful and honestly compelling beer, different than any blonde i have had, and it should rank among the best beers these guys do. bitter enough to finish, but juicy and fresh and citrusy too, its just great. if they dont can this one yet, they sure should...

Tall fluffy head of 3 fingers, leaving tons of lace behind. The body is a dark urine color, and 90% opaque.

The aromas here are much like a toffee-forward IPA. Onion and caramel permeate, followed by a rotting doughiness. Lots of dry pale malt too.

The flavors here sort of mesh a blonde ale and a caramel-forward IPA. Lots of stale hop and wort, followed by some pickle juice, herbs, and onion. This is definitely not to style. Major points deduction.

The feel is wet to start, then dries out as it finishes.

Overall, pretty much a drain pour. Not a good first experience from Black Tooth.

Poured from 12 oz can into pint glass.
Develops a 3" pillowy white head that drops at a moderate rate leaving plenty of lacing behind. Color is a slightly hazy golden yellow with moderate streaming carbonation. Surprising amount of hop aroma for an 18 IBU beer -- primarily lemon and pineapple along with fresh bread dough. The mouthfeel is light to medium and quite astringent. Flavor is way too hoppy -- bitter citrus bulldozes the malts. Overall: this is not a terrible beer, it is certainly drinkable. The problem is that Black Tooth should call it a Session IPA or an APA because it better fits those styles. It is absolutely does NOT conform to the style guidelines for a Blonde Ale. I really enjoy Blonde Ales so I am quite disappointed that I have 5 more of these to get through. I have enjoyed the other Black Tooth brews I have tried, but I won't be buying this one again.

A moderate pour from the 12 ounce can into a shaker pint produces an inch of creamy, frothy head that sticks around really well. The beer is a pale straw color and quite hazy, with moderate carbonation.

The aroma includes some DMS which dissipates as the beer breathes a little. The flavor is fairly mild, but with a good base bitterness, with notes of grain, crackers and light citrus. Light bodied and easy to drink.

This is an easy drinking ale that I've been sampling off and on all during the warmer months. There's nothing particularly special about it, but it's well worth a try. I'm glad to see this brewery from Sheridan, Wyoming expanding into my area.

Beautiful gold hue and clear. Fantastic light flavor that would allow me to drink more than one in a sitting. I taste a hint of malt and a nice bitter bite on the backside

Pours a clear light gold with a finger of foam that shrinks to a fine layer and it does have some nice lacing.

It has a Pils like hoppy aroma. .slightly spicy. Malt is light grain and bread.

Tastes like it smells but with more of a balance. I get a very favorable yeasty taste with less grain that I noticed in the smell.

Light side of medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Tasty and refreshing. Nicely done.

Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer is served a golden color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast to leave just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell- The aroma of the brew is heavy of a cracker and slightly yeasty smell. Along with these smells comes some notes of a grassy hop as well as some grapefruit citrus and a lighter fruit aroma.

Taste – The taste begins with a crisp cracker taste mixed with some flavors of tangerine and harvest fruits. While light upfront, flavors of yeast and hop get stronger as the taste moves on with the hop being mostly of grapefruit and grass. Toward the end some grain and other hop tastes of pine come to the flavor leaving one with a crisp and refreshing taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thin with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the style both are fantastic and make for a very easy drinking brew overall.

Overall – A rather nice light blond ale with a crisp, yeasty taste along with a good showing of hop. This was a rather nice brew overall.
