Don’t get thrown by this one coming out of the tap handle!! While dark in color, this Brown ale has a remarkably light mouth feel making it a great beer any time of year. The malt profile showcases hints of caramel, roasted nuts and cocoa. Just like the Rodeo Announcer says…. “Let’s make him feel a little better on SATURDAY NIGHT!!”

My main man KingCobraJFS reviewed this on his YouTube channel, so I had to try it. Cooking with it is most definitely what's up. But plain flavor and thin feel. TMDNWU

Pours brown with two fingers of khaki foam. Fair retention. Aroma is toasty, bready, and caramely malts for a malt centric nose. Grassy hops add the texture over the semi-sweet malts. Flavor profile centers back on malts, delivering bready, toasty, and caramely malts with minor earthy coming through. Grassy hops add some extra texture. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a slightly fuzzy, moderate creamy texture. It borders on soft. Overall, a malty bomb, but fair.

12oz canned September of 2022
On the pour half a finger of tan head formed on a darker than expected body, which is a deep dark brown that doesn't let much light through. Some nice lacing forms.
Aroma was definitely affected by the age a bit with some oxidation, sitting on top of a whole lot of English yeast throwing some figgy notes, as well as molasses and nutty toffee. Not all that roasty however.
Feel is drinkable and relatively light considering the very full flavor. Definitely crisp on the sip with a longer malty finish.
Overall this is solid, and pretty unique, but not mind-blowing. I don't love the big molasses, but that could also be the age.
Taste follows the aroma, bringing figgy molasses, but the malt has all melded together allowing the English style yeast shine through. I would love to try this a bit fresher.

Brown with ruby see through, excellent clarity; thin off white head; poor cap retention; a few spots of lace. Caramel malt; a whiff of roasted nuts. Semi sweet caramel malt; just a bit of nuttiness. Light body verging on watery; moderate minus carbonation. Overall, a pretty whimpy brown ale.

Pours dark brown with garnet highlights. A nice foamy, lingering, and clingy head that gives way to similar lacing.
Aromas of chocolate, nuts, and caramel malts.
Caramel malt sweetness on the tip of the tongue. Mild chocolate and nutty flavors in midstream along with some biscuit and roasted character. The finish is slightly grassy and earthy. Better balance than many of the style, which can sometimes get pretty sweet.
Just shy of medium bodied, and that is pleasing. Well carbonated, it has a moderate and slightly drying finish.
This is more than a "check the boxes" brown, especially because it keeps the malts in check better than many; but it's ceiling is "nice."

Dark brown pour. There was a 1 finger, slightly off white head. The head retention was poor. No lacing.
The nose is a slight caramel, and biscuit aroma.
Taste - There's a decent malt bill here. a good amount of caramel here, and a bit of a biscuit flavor.
Body is ok, not too light, or thick.
Ok brown ale.
