The new place in midtown in the former "Blue: Wine and Bistro" location. I have gone here quite a few times now and each time it leaves me more and more impressed. Parking is a bitch but it is the same parking for Shady's...

The atmosphere is laid back and casual. Mostly just locals looking for some good food and a drink. The bar area takes up the entire right side of the dining room, offering 10-15 seats. The dining room is located on the right, and while it is not the biggest in the area it is plenty big for the crowds this place attracts. They have a bunch of plasma TV's located all over the small dining area and bar, usually tuned in to the latest sports games. They like to keep the volume a little low so you can still talk to each other but you can still hear just fine.

The service has always been good. They are always prompt with getting my orders in, both food and drink, and they are always close by if you need something, it is a small place after all. They don't really know a lot about the beer but that is ok, they know how to serve it and that is really all that matters.

The food is my favorite part. I have had quite a few things from here now and all of them have been excellent. The kitchen is very small so they can only make a few dishes at a time, thus slowing the process down a bit when crowded, but it is well worth it. I personally really like the burgers, sandwiches, and wings. I have yet to try something I didn't like. They even do a few special dishes for special occasions. I went in here on St. Patty's day and they had 3-4 Irish options to celebrate. For a new place, they have been putting out some of the best food in midtown.

The beer selection is not too bad. Total of 18 taps offering plenty of decent options, nothing like Shady's right around the corner but is that really a bad thing? Taps are split about 60-40 toward micro's. They always like to have 3-4 troegs offerings on, since it is Troegs hometown after all. They even had NN on, which was a bonus, to go along with some Victory and even some Chimay. The quality was good as well. They served all the beers in the correct glasses and all my drafts tasted fresh. They didn't have too many bottled offerings of note but they do offer some of the BMC offerings to go so that is a plus in that area of town.

Overall this place is really not a beer bar, rather it is more of a local restaurant that is taking its beer serving seriously. I usually go here for dinner and then go around the corner to Shady's for a few extra drinks but I could easily just stay here if I had to.
