Pours a gorgeous platinum blonde with a white head that fades relatively quickly with no lacing. Bouquet characterized by notes of banana, lemon zest, and Belgian yeast. Wonderful mouthfeel, perfect carbonation, and banana and lemon zest make this a remarkable and easy-drinking pilsner. But what makes it truly terrific is the smooth and quickly vanishing floral finish. Because the brain recognizes that it is a pilsner, the finish of this beer can almost be described as sweet. This is by far the best pilsner I've ever drunk. Figueroa Mountain--you know what you're doing.

Surprisingly good interpretation of a pilsner. Brilliantly clear yellow with a sticky foamy white head. Not as sweet or bready as a traditional Pils, but well balanced and refreshing. Cheers!

That is an excellent pils. A little cloudy, giving me pause prior to the first whiff/sip, but the nose is grainy pils malt all over, dashes of lager yeast and light noble hop touch. Palate it just so well balanced between the malt, yeast, and hops, a bit of herbal/zesty goodness there and just so.much.pils.malt. Love it.

I like this beer- to me it's the ultimate American pilsner; light, crisp, and perfect for a hot day in Buellton. And believe me, there are some HOT days here.
