Fantastic atmosphere, with distinctly British decor. Great draft beer selection, which is always rotating. Some of the best food at a pub that I've ever had, though it's not exactly cheap. It's a go-to every time I'm in Southern Pines. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice find for anybody in the Southernpinehurdeen area. This area of the state is sorely lacking in establishments that provide a selection of craft beers so when you find one it is a find. The Sly Fox keeps a good verity of good brews on tap and they do a good job rotating the taps. And one thing i like is they use proper glassware. I just wish they had more taps, but they do have a good bottle selection if you do not find anything you want on tap.
The folks in here eating seemed to really be enjoying their food. And they have special beer dinner events each month.
If you are in the area this certainly is a place to check out.

In an area with not to many choices for good beer, this english style pub is a great spot. 16 taps and many bottle selections to choose from. Foothills, Stone, Dog Fish Head, Avery, Ommegang, Smuttynose, Delirium, just to name a few. their food selection is pretty good, although it does lean towards british style foods, but its a british pub so what do you expect. They have a nice patio to the side of the pub and a good size bar inside, with a good amount of tables inside. Of course I need to write a bit more, so I see Founders, Terripen, New Belgium, Duck Rabbit, Great Divide, and some nice Belgiums in bottles.

Easily the best selection in the area. Nice job rotating the taps, and the bartenders and waitstaff are great. Recent tap selections were Allagash Curieux, Delirium Nocturnum, Smuttynose Big A IPA, Ommegang Rare Vos, Rogue Dead Guy John John, and a few others. Decent bottle selection as well. They have recently started to have beer dinners to facilitate the tasting of good beer in the area. Things should only get better as the word gets out. This is a great place for a good meal, a few beers, or both. Nice patio area too.
