I visited Patrónsky Pivovar while up in Bratislava last weekend. They are one of the kind of places I saw a few of in Slovakia where they are a restaurant that brews their own beer, but they only brew a very limited selection. Patrónsky had a dark lager and a light lager as their regular beers, and had a märzen and a hefeweizen on their rotating menu. I stuck with the two lagers (this was my strategy throughout Bratislava, and it was a good one). Both the dark and light lager were very good indeed; these styles are popular in Slovakia and places clearly have a lot of experience making them.
This place mostly looks like a restaurant and, while it is welcoming enough, doesn't have much "old-world" character, although they do have some lovely copper brewing equipment out where it's visible. Service was good, despite my limited Slovak the waiter and I were able to make each other understood. I also had the duck liver pâté appetizer for a snack, and it was quite tasty.
The last kind of odd thing about the place was the music selection -- mostly American heartland kind of stuff from my youth: Traveling Wilburys, Neil Young, Springsteen. Not really germane to the beer, but I personally found it charming.
