Pours into my stemmed Hennepin glass a deep amber/brown with a thick sticky tan colored head atop.Floral and grassy hops dominate the nose along with light spiced phenols, quite spiced in fact, more of a pepper and clove note. The grassy hops are big on the palate with a dryer malt base, phenols give off spice but not in your face, somewhat earthy in the finish.Damn I like this beer alot,to me it's a little underrated.

A - pours clear amber with a small amount of light tan head. Head dissipates pretty quickly without leaving much lacing.
S -nice combination of caramel malt, some nice slightly funky Belgian yeast, and a bit of hops.
T - similar to the smell and more. The belgian yeast and hop presence really set this above a traditional amber, which is admittedly not my favorite style. Has a nice subtle honey sweetness to offset the funk and hop bitterness. Finishes dry with some lingering bitterness.
M - light/medium mouthfeel with a nice dry finish.
O - probably my favorite of the vivant brews I've tried. While they have all been good, most seem like tame versions of their style. This is a highly enjoyable take on the amber style that I would love to see canned.

With a reddish and amber tone, i did not expect such a hoppy flavor! When smelled, the aroma gives off hops and tropical scents of pineapple and mango. You can tell before you even taste that this beer will be hoppy and full of bitterness. When tasted, there is a sense of caramel, tropical fruits and very much hops. Overall, I believe this beer may be a bit too too strong for my tasting.

It has clear rusty/orange color, which looks a little weird to me. You can smell the bitterness and it tastes very hoppy with fruit aroma, especially mango. It has a dry hoppy finishing.

S - 16oz can poured into pint glass
A - Dark amber, light pale head, some head retention
S - Belgian yeast, citrus, wood, wet hops
T - More Belgian yeast, toasted wheat, light bitter hops, slight caramel
M - Medium body, not too heavy, nearly perfect
O - Very Belgian yeast tasting, not very reminiscent of a standard red/amber ale. No real malt flavor.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
A: Excellent red color with small head that holds a long time. Great lacing.
S: Saison zest with hop smell. Really balanced smell.
T: A little watery on the front that gives way to mild malt and some floral hop on the end.
M: Hops and some minor belgian zest.
O: A really balanced good beer. Tastes like a hoppy saison and I would bet that fresh this is absolutly amazing.

This is one of my favorite beers from Brewery Vivant. This has very unexpected fruity notes, seeing as the can is very masculine. This beer has a deep amber color with touches of red. There is fruit on the nose, almost pineapple flavors. On the tongue you can taste mango, citrus, and other tropical fruits.

16 oz can served in an over-size glass mug. Large vessel recommended since this ale has a huge frothy tan head.
A Belgian-American fusion beer that works. The aroma shifts back and forth between yeasty-fruity wet leather and American hops. The taste seems more stable but again has the Belgian and American (hops) aspects in nice balance. Hints of citrus, pineapple and other tropical fruits.Moderate complexity and mild bitterness.
Feel: lively, medium body; good carbonation.
O: not your everyday IPA.

16oz can poured into a tulip.
A: Pours an opaque reddish gold with a 1 finger off white head. Some visible carbonation in the body. Head sticks around for a minute or two leaving some lacing.
S: Lot going on with the smell here. There is belgian yeast flat out up front, but also a hopping on top of that and a solid almost sweet carmely malt backing.
T: Balanced comes to mind as I take my first sip. Has a smooth malty taste balanced by some yeast and hops. I'd say malt lingers more in the aftertaste
M: Full bodied with lots of carbonation. Has a nice clean finish, easy drinking.
Overall this is a beer I could enjoy on a regular basis. Has the Belgian drinkability with some amped up American malts and hops.

I was expecting a bit more from this than what is delivered flavor-wise--it seemed weaker/"less-intensely-flavored" than other similar beers made in this style which I have tried (e.g. Ale Asylum's Bedlam! or Belgo from New Belgium) ; maybe I would like this more if it was made as a double instead?
Besides this weakness, it was as I expected it to be in nose, color, and so on. It's not a bad beer, and I enjoyed it more than their Triomphe IPA (this brew seems to remove the "harsher" edges of the Triomphe while keeping the good parts IMHO of an American IPA), but enjoyed it less than their Farm Hand ale or their Brune or Solitude brews.

I was expecting something hoppier still a decent brew. Gift of cans from SliverX IP. Reddish tinged colour, bubbly. Medium mouthfeel, well malted, some orange flavour, somewhat astringent finish. Drinkable.Decent drinkability, not getting hops in nose so do not make it out to be a Belgian IPA as promoted.
