First had: on tap at Throwback

Dark cola brown pour, with a small ringlet for a head. The nose was fairly roasty, with light hints of cocoa and coffee. Taste of dark roasted malts, with a bit of cocoa bitterness; earthy. There was a slight vegetal sensation to the beer, but nothing really distinctively minty, and definitely nothing really distinctively chocolate, other than the chocolate malts themselves. Well, that's what happens when the cocoa and mint that are supposed to be the feature of the beer are added to the boil, as was done with this beer, according to its description. The end result was a pretty mediocre stout that I wouldn't want to revisit. Body was medium and a bit thin in the mouthfeel. Not very good overall, but not necessarily undrinkable.
