Appearance: Deep amber in color, fairly clear, with a large white head, which retains well, and profuse carbonation.

Aroma: Fruity esters are quite prominent, with a bready malt character, and candy sweetness, and notable spiciness.

Taste: Spicy bubblegum notes at the open, as would be expected from a Belgian ale, quite malty throughout. The finish is dominated by spicy notes, dark fruit, alcohol, and a lingering mild bitterness. There is none of the earthy characteristic commonly fould in Scottish ales.

Mouth feel: Smooth and very full, with an almost syrupy presence.

Drinkabililty/notes: Rather off-style, but still interesting and quite pleasing. The Belgian characteristics may result in part from yeast selection.

Many thanks to HardTarget for sharing this unique beer.

Bottle courtesy of Crizay. Thanks man!
Pours a clear copper color with a light beige big lasting head. Smell is bright fresh malt and maybe a faint hint of smoke? Taste is faintly tart, and hoppy for the style. Thin malt flavor and a light smokiness in the background. Hoppy and light smokiness make this nice and unique version but the body and flavor otherwise is a touch on the thin side. Still pretty decent overall.

Bottle Inspection: Very basic label on a brown bomber. No abv, date, nothing.

Aroma: Strong fruity esters with some slight smoke and a touch of celery.

Appearance: Strong carbonation streams feed an overly large head of tan that tops an amber glass.

Flavor: Bubble gum? Very Belgian in flavor with some nice malty notes, but no peat characteristics noted.

Mouthfeel: Carbonation level is too high.

Overall Impression: A very tasty beer. The Belgian notes take it out of style, but I really enjoyed the flavor. I’d drink more!

Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-brown, effervescent body with a small, very short-lived off-whtie head.

Smell: Basic aroma of dark caramel and a touch of fruit, all of it kinda wimpy.

Taste: Dark caramel maltiness with a slight sweetness. Hint of tart fruits. Abrupt finish; the beer ends before it really gets going.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: Pretty mild, even by Scottish Ale standards.
